Gets the Job Done at a reasonable price
This power supply is great. It may not be as awesome as other modular power supplies but it has an ample amount of power to get almost any system up and running. I’ve used this power supply in two system builds and it works like a champ. In one PC I can power up a gtx 760, 1 SSHD, 1 Hue+ led lighting system, 3 corsair led 120mm fans+3 Phanteks 140mm fans, 1 Intel Haswell Pentium CPU, and 8gb of ddr3 crucial sport ram (not sure if there’s anything else to power up but that’s the jist of it). Of course you won’t be able to get SLI or Crossfire configurations set up with this power supply (if you think so, probably go find a different power supply because this isn’t the one for you). But powering up your budget to mid-range computer builds will be sufficient with this choice to power supply. When it comes to cable management, it can be somewhat of a test of your creativity with how you organize the cables. This is neither a fully modular or semi-modular power supply (meaning the cable are permanently fixed to the power supply and are not detachable. Google/Youtube it if you still are confused by modularity). Some cases will be great to house this power supply, as some cases are excellent for stashing away those gaudy cables (they’re not bad the cables, it just looks cool if you can keep your cables hidden in your PC). In one case I had, the cables were everywhere but in some newer, more pricier cases I now own, the cables from the power supply are about 96% tucked away from view. The unit itself is not huge at all. The power supply does have a fan. So in some cases you could position your PSU so that it faces downwards into a dust filter that many cases provide, or you can opt to point it upwards so that airflow travels in a different direction (this is assuming you place your power supply in the basement/bottom of your case). All in all, I don’t have much else to report on this power supply, other than to say, if you’re debating on trying to save some money in your system build (or maybe even in need of a new power supply) this is a marvelous choice, and I definitely give this a 5 stars. And pleaaaase don’t say this item does not work or came defective and put a 1 star review. Just request a refund from Amazon and ship it back for FREE to the manufacturer and go buy another power supply or go with a different brand.

Impressive high quality PSU. Quiet and worth every penny.
This 500 Watt EVGA power supply is amazing for the price. I like that the cables are all fully sleeved with heat shrink ends that help keep things neat in a loaded case. And there are connectors for game cards, dual 12v motherboard connectors, 6 SATA, 3 Molex and more. The large fan runs very quiet and keeps my home server cool. With 6 3.5″ hdd’s and 3 case fans, its nice to know there is plenty of watts on hand. It also came with a power cord, and new mounting screws. My server is build in tower case, about 17 inches tall, and all the cables were long enough to reach where they go. And the 80+ rating means it is fairly efficient at converting 120V to the 12, 5 and 3V that PC’s run on so its not wasting energy. Important in a server that is on 24/7. In fact, the HDD’s are running 4 to 6 degrees Celsius cooler with this PSU than the Logisys it replaced. I attribute this to the fan moving more cubic feet of heat out of the box than the old PSU did, and not running as hot and radiating heat back into the case. It has great fit and finish, and is twice the weight of the PSU it replaced. I have replaced dozens of PSU’s as part of my PC repair business, and this is the first that I was truly impressed with. I will buy EVGA power supplies again.

Works well, good value.
Does what it says, does exactly what is expected. Would be nice if it was modular, but that is an option for more money. Would be nice if some of the cords were a touch longer, but again…more money solves that problem. As it is, it’s a good quality power supply for the price. Quiet fan inside, no real complaints whatsoever.

Works well, but not as tidy as I’d like.
PROS:* Worked on first try* Long cables* Mesh wrapped cables* All of the connectors!* Very quiet (large fan blades)* Reasonable price* Power efficientCONS:* Power plug is 1/16th inch too close to the edge to properly fit in Dell Mid-Tower cases* Cables are not modular, and long coils have to be stowed somewhere.* No right-angle SATA plugsNARRATIVE:I bought this to replace a cheap power supply that was failing. This is one step up, and in testing with a Kill-A-Watt, the $15 extra I spend on this will be saved in 8-10 months of power-on time. That’s completely worth it.This arrived, and a different system’s power supply failed. There’s a short in a connector, or whatnot. Whatever. I swapped this in, and it fit 90%; however, the power plug on it is just a little too close to the edge. I can fit the power cord in, but the back of the case is bowed by the socket’s raised plastic. Maybe one of these day’s I’ll buy nibblers to modify all of the cases that don’t fit, but I was able to tighten it all down. Everything works. The SATA connectors are all straight in. Luckily, the system uses 2.5″ drives, so I just mounted them a little further into the sled. However, if I were using normal 3.5″ drives, the cable ends would be crushed. This has dual 4-pin motherboard/cpu headers, a 6-pin, and a 6+2=8 pin plug for PCI cards. There are two straps of SATA power plugs, and one strap of 4-pin Molex and floppy drive connectors. All of the cables are mesh wrapped to keep from tangling; however, the cables are fixed. You cannot remove unneeded cords/connectors without getting the wire cutters (not recommended). It’s a lot of cord to bundle up and stash inside, because this is made for a pretty big case, or for a case that puts the PSU on the left / bottom.Even with all of the minor annoyances and fitment issues, I’m going to buy two more of these.

My old PSU died and I went with this for an older ASUS desktop. The only challenge was plugging in the DVD drive and hard drive as I was afraid I was going to break the connectors. The big tip I’d give anyone with a similar M32BF motherboard is you only need two of the connectors for the fan, so don’t be afraid if you see four of them. Besides that everything lined up and worked great. It’s been about 3 weeks and not a single involuntary shutdown and my computer is so quiet all I hear is the hard drive.
