Huge upgrade!
Finally decided to build a new pc for sim-racing after trying to game for years on a heavily upgraded Dell Optiplex SFF with a low-profile RX560 4GB card and 10th gen i7. The difference was night & day. I had already decided on a 7900XTX for my build but finding one for the ITX case I bought was a challenge. I originally bought and then cancelled orders for the XTX Merc & Nitro+ variants of the card after realizing they were not going to fit my case. The Pulse was a perfect fit and is essentially a Nitro+ without RGB & OC bios options along with a much better vapor chamber cooling solution and about $200 cheaper. I was worried about cooling & noise being an issue without the beefy cooler, but the card is very quiet even with 4k gaming. A week after my order, I received a redemption code for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Paired with a 7800X3D, the game looks stunning & runs smooth as butter at 4k hdr with every graphical setting set to ‘epic’. Although VR performance is not supposed to be the strong point of this card, it seemed to perform fine to me using an Oculus Quest 2 headset playing Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, and Assetto Corsa Competizione with fps in the 70-90 range. A truly incredible upgrade that should last me a while.

4080 super killer
I was torn between 4080 super and 7900xtx I have always been an nvidia user. But after so many benchmark comparisons and discussions on different places I decided to go make the switch since I wonât loose much from nvidia features. I was even worried for nothing this has been performing great so far in games. It has been a major improvement in also how the games look from the 3060ti on games where I could run 4k with the 3060ti this 7900xtx is obviously performing better but the graphics look better.I havenât had any driver issues which was one of my worries but I will update this later if I run into them

Great Value GPU
I upgraded from an MSI 2080 ti Ventus and the performance increase was spectacular. I had to fit this card into a NZXT H510 with a front mounted radiator, and I only had about 12.5 inches of clearance and was happy to see this fitted perfectly. Besides the great performance, this card is very quite cool and really quiet. I used it to create some renderings for a few hours and it didn’t go past 62 C at full load. Compared with my older 2080 ti, it is extremely quiet, just a low hum at full load. The only thing to note is that even though it mostly stays at 360W, it does have power spikes at close to 400 W and my PSU of 800W was not handling it. I had to buy another PSU at 1000W. The strength of this card is the massive amount of VRAM. That makes it great not only for 3440×1440 gaming, but also for 3D work as well. I got this on sale at $889, and at that price there was nothing better. Even with the new 4000 Super series, hard to beat this value.

Terrible for gaming, donât buy
I wanted to get this as it looked like it was a good value for the money card, but it turned on me quickly.Any VR game crashes in a few minutes of opening, hard system crash, aswell as many other demanding games aswell, which doesnât happen with similar gpus. The card has this issue with both Windows and Linux, libre and proprietary drivers, and is constantly an issue.Itâs an easy normal card to install, but like all cards get loud when it starts playing demanding games (before it crashes).

Not for eGPU use. Totally worth the money for a PC build or GPU upgrade.
I really love Sapphire cards. They look great and where other manufacturers make these a two slot and really long card, Sapphire wisely made this a two and a half slot card allowing for the installation into smaller cases. It runs pretty cool, even when maxed out gaming. It’s not as fast as an RTX 4090, but it’s about $1500 less. Besides, 400 FPS vs 200, you’re not going to notice! But I needed a good card for an eGPU. This ain’t it. But it’s not a Sapphire problem, but an AMD problem. I’ve tried an RX5700, RX6600,two different RX7800 XTs (one was this one) and a Sapphire RTX 7900 XTX. Any computer it tried the eGPU on benchmarked phenomonally, but regardless of the game, you’re getting 20 to 45 FPS. Destiny 2 was my main test game due to the high variability in maps and locations. It didn’t matter. The frame rates were all over the place between 20 and 45 fps, even a the lowest settings. Resolution didn’t matter. I tried two other eGPU enclosures and got the same results.Putting any of the listed cards in a PC and they’re great, especially compared to team greens pricing!I highly recommend this Graphics card for PC use.I do not recommend any AMD based card for eGPU use. If you need an eGPU, go with an RTX 4070 Super. In PC performance was similar, but eGPU use, the RTX was about a 10% performance loss, so the same testing netted nothing less than at least 110 fps.

This is a fantastic card when you’re looking for high end performance at a decent price, and i use decent price considering current cost for graphic cards. Realistically, this card will probably drop by 100-200 dollars around xmas, especially if the rumored 7950xtx does release around then. But right now, even for the outlandish cost, its the best bang for the buck when looking at high end cards. hands down beats the 4080 in rasterization, but obviously the nvidia 4080 is better at ray tracing, but not by so much that its higher cost makes it worth it imo. Besides, ray tracing, imo, is over rated sure if you sit there and look at a scene in game you can notice a bit better shadow quality, but if your like me and actually play the games and not stare at a single scene then you probably wont notice the visual difference. And the adrenaline software is heads and tails above nvidia’s experience software/control panel……and i was using Nvidia cards for the last 7 years and was totally blown away buy the pure performance of this card and the software..no longer is amd hindered by software like so many claim…I’m no fan boy of either brand. I just want best bang for the buck. No question the 4090 is a faster card, but for 8 hundred dollar difference the choice was obvious for me. The only con is that my existing case didn’t have good enough airflow to accommodate this card. It runs hot if you don’t have a decent case. I 100% recommend the lian-li 216 rgb or standard version for this card…keeps the temps in control and the case looks great and you cannot beat it at its price point…
