Intelligent Battery Charger that Charges!
My sister’s car has a faulty alternator so her battery needs charging frequently until she can get a new alternator. She was using a battery charger from the big W retailer and it finally just stopped charging.I decided to help her out and order this Nexpeak battery charger mainly for its price point and it’s pulse repair feature. It’s a nice looking small box that you simply connect to the AC power and then connect to battery. It defaults to standard lead acid battery mode so first use was simple.While it’s charging it it shows a diagram of a battery with bars that flash and stay lit as it charges showing 0-100% in 20% increments. On the left of the display you’ll see DFS for about five minutes where it’s going through a small repair mode (desulfurization stage) then begins charging. Information was shown such as the temperature of the charger, the Voltage, and Amps. It charged between 13v and 14v staying over 9 amps having the battery almost full in as little as four hours.The charger has a built in fan as well to be sure it stays optimally cool as it charges. The quality of the box is great for the price range. It’s all plastic but it’s not super cheap feeling and the clamps are also nice. It’s small enough as well to easily take it where ever you may need it making it extremely portable.Really the only biggest draw back I can see if the AC cord is very short so either expect to have the battery very close by or grab an extension cord to hook up with it. I almost forgot the mode button on this charger too. Its a touch capacitive button which with a simple touch it will cycle modes. Those modes being STD (Standard lead acid battery), AGM/GEL, WET, Motorcycle Trickle and lastly Repair.I have seen in other reviews folks mentioning issues with the touch button in getting it to work correctly. I wonder if the issues they may be having could be due to the plastic screen protector that is on it for packaging. I removed it as soon as I took the charger out of the box and have had no issues myself.It’s charged her battery up now about three times with no issues at all and soon I’m going to test the repair mode on my battery that is aging and see what results I get. Overall though for the price it’s hard to beat and highly recommed!

Works well, have used it multiple times. Was not able to revive any batteries that were beyond their life expectancy but was able to repair my boat batteries to full capacity. Have tried on 5 different batteries so far it is works great.

I needed a newer generation charger to be compatible with the AGM type batteries. I had a 6 year old wet cell battery that was testing below minimum for static voltage, CCA’s and life left on it. I tried this charger out using the Pulse setting that claims to repair a weak battery. It took 8.5 hours before the charger shut off. But it did show as Good, had above minimum voltage and went from 58% to 83% life. After letting the battery sit overnight in my house, it now shows 100% life, still above minimum voltage. It is a 750 CCA rated battery but now show 500 plus now. No way to tell how much longer the battery would actually last under normal use. As the CCA’s are what is needed to turn over the engine when cold, I don’t think I would trust it during zero temps. But, the charger seems to do what it was made to do. I read some complaints about the selection button being a bit troublesome. I found it works best when you follow this sequence. Connect the red clamp to the positive terminal, the black clamp to the negative, then use the pad of your thumb to lightly touch the select button for what you want the charger to do, then, plug in the power cord. I agree that all the cords could be about a foot longer for better reach.

Way cheaper than comparable products in box stores, it brought many batteries back to life, its lightweight, charges and repairs well, displays voltage, battery temp and capacity. Super simple to use, hook up and select battery type and youre off.
