Tough little device
Unit was dropped from a 6ft shelf during charging on to a concrete floor and not only did the game still run but no cracks on the case and screen was still intact. Runs also very well for the size and games it runs. My daughter will love it!

Christmas gift for 14 y/o nephew
Itâs a cute little device. Has a lot of games on it. Probably best for an older adult as it has older games on it. Disappointed it didnât come with a charger. Box looked opened when I opened the delivery box. Maybe it was returned.

As usual Anbernic’s stock Linux OS kinda stinks.The only good thing about them FLOODING the market with all of these H700 chipset devices is that quite a few of the alternative OS devlopers are supporting these devices.Trust me when I say the alternatives are MUCH better.The hardware is solid and the screen is amazing. The single joystick could have been left out only because the 1 system you would use it for and that it can SORTA emulate also mostly stinks (N64 emulation isn’t the best on this system)If you’re patient and like to mess with configurations, you can get some solid N64 performance.Dreamcast is pretty solid. Saturn emulation is hit or miss (more miss than hit). PS1 and lower is FLAWLESS.

Ships with corrupt disc. Do your research first.
Such a disappointment on Christmas. Worked for an hour, then stopped. My kid handled it okay, but Iâm furious bc after some quick online research I learned this is a common problem. I could âflash the driveâ which would involve buying additional items, but so wrong to buy a product on Amazon for 90 bucks that ships needing to be fixed right out of the box. YOU flash the damn disc BEFORE selling it.

I wish the screen was bigger and to be honest for old games you kinda need minimum of 10 inch display. I would expect more at this price point. Yes screen is better than before but not the best quality. I also expected more games on it. I tried to install roms, but it needed me to install emulator. And that didnât go well. All what i needed was super Mario.Also the file management is not good and confusing when you open file manager.I can see this being a great console for some people, but not for me . I think when I pay 90 dollar in 2024 for something like this, it should be ready to go with thousand of games specifically the top 10 popular games that get you nostalgia.

An impressive little handheld!
The RG40XX V is a great device for retro gaming! I have been fully impressed with my time using it. It has a great weight to it, and the rounded edges sit nicely against the palms of the user’s hands.Buttons are sponge-like, with a squishy texture to the push. The joysticks feels almost exactly like Switch joysticks, like all of Anbernics devices, and the light underneath is easily turned off or changed in the device settings menu. All in all, the buttons perform well and feel like they’re actually doing something.The speaker on the device has an amazing, well rounded and deep sound. I do not experience snaps, crackles, or pops while playing, and voices come through clearly on PS1 and Dreamcast games.Like all of the H700 chip devices released by Anbernic, the system seems to tap out at N64, but almost all PS1 and Dreamcast games I’ve tested have worked. PSP is a bonus, not many games work, but some of the less graphically intense games work very well.The HDMI out function works, but I rarely use it as the resolution and aspect ratio is locked at 480p, so it looks pretty bad on screens much bigger than the one on the device itself.I would add some grip to the back of it for longer gaming periods, but it’s fully unnecessary and completely playable as-is.If you’re looking for a cool little device that’s just about the size of the original Game Boy with the bonus of a Joystick, this is the one!
