    Overpriced, but still excellent.
I had a case like this on my M1 iPad Pro, so when I got the 13 inch M4 iPad Pro I decided to stick with Logitech for my case. The design of this case emulates the Microsoft Surface and Surface keyboard, providing a kickstand for the iPad and a removable keyboard. I do feel the price is outrageous, but there aren’t many quality options when it comes to cases in this design. This updated version functions better – the trackpad is larger and does not randomly stop working like the older version did, and the case feels less flimsy that the older version. The keyboard feels a little more comfortable to use, and the back lighting is much better as well – there seems to be more steps in brightness and the backlight adjusts with the automatic brightness on the screen. There is still a bug from the prior version of this case where the back lighting doesn’t always come back on after going to sleep while open. Pressing the brightness buttons will turn the back light on again, but I do feel this is an oversight.Installation is mildly anxiety inducing because you have to use some force to get the case on the iPad, but I managed to do it without breaking anything; just follow the instructions in the box. Some other cases just attach with magnets to the rear of the iPad, but by wrapping around the frame of the iPad this case provides more protection. I certainly wouldn’t try dropping my iPad in this case, but I feel confident that my iPad is protected while in my bag.One thing I dislike about this case is the material used on the exterior. The exterior portion which sits on the rear of the keyboard is a smooth plastic (or maybe metal? I can’t decide) which is prone to marring and fingerprints, while the exterior on the rear of the iPad is more rubbery feeling, akin to the official folio cases. The older version of this Logitech case used a fabric material on all portions of the exterior and for the wrist rest, and I definitely preferred that design over this.I carry a regular iPad from work in the same pouch as my M4 in my work bag, and the rubber feet on the work iPad’s case have marked up this Logitech case like a gym floor. This case, only being available in black was also a disappointment, but at least it’s a neutral color. There does seem to be slightly more noticeable battery drain from the keyboard on this version of the case versus the original, but you can always turn off the back light reduce power draw from the iPad.

Tried 3 others before finding the right one
I got a new iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) and of course, it needed a cover. I have two other Logitech keyboard covers “Slimfolios” on my older iPads. I looked at many and even sought out my favorite Slimfolio. Apparently they haven’t decided to make it for this new model, or at least not yet. The problem with this one was that the price was off-putting. So, I decided to try a less expensive one. After trying three less expensive types from other companies, I am willing to admit I’ve been spoiled. So, I spent the extra money and bought this one.Saying this is beyond the others, is an understatement. This one balances on my lap without being on a table (yes, I was concerned). It is thin but all the edges of the laptop and the screen are covered. Not that I’m planning on dropping it, but it seems to be like my other Slimfolios in that way. I am not very good at preventing the occasional short drop. The previous incarnation survived a child having a temper tantrum, so I am pretty confident in that “it doesn’t look like it can take it, but it totally can” thing. I just got it so, we’ll see.It is not heavy and doesn’t add a bunch of weight or bulk to it. It is a mystery how it gets electricity for it to work, but I’ve decided to embrace the magic and let super techie folks understand that. It doesn’t seem to have any place to put a battery so it must be getting it from the connection to the iPad.I’m able to move the mouse around with the touch pad which is a nice feature my old Slimfolio didn’t have. The keyboard is sensitive and there is a feeling of a click when a key is pressed but I can’t hear it. The keyboard lights up and is controlled by the top keys. You can also control the brightness of the screen, activate Siri, take a screenshot, ff, play, & rev for videos, mute/unmute, and control the volume.Overall, it has a nice soft feel and isn’t slippery in the back. However, on the front when closed, that side is a little slippery. The top of the iPad is exposed where a stylus pen would attach via magnets. So, that functionality is not impaired.Bottom line, I recommend this cover. It is more expensive, but if you’re looking for a keyboard cover that is able to just do what you expect, then this one will do it.

    Terrible product!
I have used Logitech covers with keypads for all my IPad Pros in the past and loved them. They held up well did not fall apart when you moved them and had a great little magnetic flap that held the Ipen in place. I spent a ridiculous amount of t of money thinking I would get the same quality for my new IPad but that is not the case. Terrible functionality, lack of quality feeling and the pen does not stay attached when you move your iPad around. So very sadly disappointed I really wanted to like this new design. Instead I’m out of money and have a very poorly functioning case at best.

A sleek new version with some quirks
I had an older version of this case for my first generation iPad Pro. This newer version is sleek and sturdy- feels stronger than the old version, particularly on the keyboard side which no longer folds in the middle, and the magnets that keep the keyboard attached are greatly improved. The addition of the mousepad is interesting, and I’m sure will come in handy when editing text, etc.My only two complaints are that 1. the kickstand no longer has the little rubber feet on them, which doesn’t have much of an effect on its stability but makes it much more difficult to get your finger under it to pull the stand out. 2. There is no longer a loop to hold your pencil, so you have to rely on the magnets to keep your pencil safe- something you certainly can’t rely on, and is pretty worthless when you toss it in a bag.Overall a strong case with a good keyboard. It’ll keep your iPad safe

Overall, it’s exactly what the product says it is. It comes with a solid case, a good keyboard, and a reasonable trackpad for the price you pay. There are only two caveats:(1) You need to keep in mind that a proper flat surface is needed to use the keyboard. It flexes pretty easily, although it never gave me the impression it would break. The challenge is that when the keyboard flexes, you’ll start to get false trackpad clicks… this in turn makes it impossible to type anything. Fortunately, as soon as you get it back to a full sized table where everything can sit the way it was meant, it works as intended.(2) The charger port fits the standard Apple charger, but doesn’t fit some of the other USB-C chords. This is annoying when you want to charge as you have to remove the case to get the charger to plug in. Thankfully the battery is good enough on these iPads that it’s rarely an issue, but on the off chance you have one of those chargers, need to type, and get battery at the same time, you’re out of luck.At the end of the day, I’m still happy I went this option over the Apple Magic Keyboard. The detachable keyboard option while using the case as a stand alone makes it worth it. As long as you keep the above two things in mind, I’d have no problems recommending this.

I like the fact that I can just remove the keyboard if i’m not using it but the space it occupies when I want to use the keyboard is quite inconvenient, especially if I want to use my ipad while im in bed. Hope they will improve this soon

Bought both and after using this Logitech, return the apple Magic Keyboard back to the rabbit hat! The Logitech Keyboard is actually more magical and way more versatile, practical, functional, and delight to type on. Love the innovation and how they have mastered the keyboard and case combinations and hope they continue improving it for next version for: material for finger prints, make it more lighter, and integrate a pencil holder. I use it every day as standalone case or attaching the keyboard and carry the iPad around everywhere and make the best out of it.

I love the $100 i saved by ordering this keyboard and case instead of the Apple one. The touch is really nice and the detachable keyboard is great for painting on my iPad.
