Customers say
Customers find the monitor’s color accuracy, image quality, and refresh rate great. They praise its deep blacks and vivid colors with good contrast. The monitor has a smooth design and is described as possibly the best 2K monitor on the market. Many appreciate the value for money and build quality. However, some customers mention that the brightness level is slightly dim even at 100%, which can cause full-screen white to appear grayish depending on brightness levels.

Jack of All Trades (AW2725DF)
So I got this monitor as an upgrade from a 1080p 360Hz IPS Alienware, snagging it for $650 on sale. It’s truly a “jack of all trades” that excels in both competitive and casual gaming. You get OLED’s phenomenal image quality with deep blacks and vibrant colors that make games like Red Dead Redemption 2 look great. At the same time, it offers near-instant response times and super-clear motion clarity, which is great for competitive FPS. The 1440p resolution and high refresh rate make spotting enemies easier, and aiming feels natural. With new 480Hz OLED variants hitting the market, you might wonder about the refresh rate. I haven’t tested anything above 360Hz, but I’d imagine there’s a subtle yet tangible difference. However, if you can find this monitor at a good price, the balance of features still makes it a solid pick, especially since newer tech often comes at a premium. The build quality is nice, with some RGB on the back that can be customized (or turned off). While I didnât use the stand, it appeared to be of decent quality. The monitor itself is sleek and doesnât scream “gamer,” which I like. It blends well into an office setting, though you can tell it’s a premium product even from a distance. Thereâs a slight purple-ish tint to the coating, and if thereâs light in the background, it doesnât reflect the best, which can impact image quality and blacks slightly. Be mindful of light sources if you get this monitor. Itâs also a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but it comes with a cloth that works well for cleaning. On the plus side, thereâs a 3-year burn-in warranty. I canât speak on Alienware/Dellâs customer service as I havenât had to deal with them, but the peace of mind is nice. The monitor does have quirks, mostly related to the OLED panel. Youâll need to run a 5-minute pixel refresh every few hours to prevent burn-in. This isnât particularly invasive but can cause some anxiety during long gaming sessions. Brightness has been perfectly fine for my dim room setup at 95%, but if you play in a brighter room, you might want to reconsider. As someone who was initially worried about brightness, Iâve found it to be fine. The HDR implementation is good, offering both HDR 1000 and HDR “True Black” (400) modes. You can switch between these directly from the OSD, with HDR 1000 working best in darker games and True Black being better for desktop use and brighter titles. There are some minor text clarity issues due to the QD-OLED subpixel layout, though adjusting ClearType and OSD sharpness helps. You canât use DLDSR/DSR above 240Hz due to DSC requirements, but these are minor inconveniences rather than deal-breakers. For settings, Iâd recommend the “Creator” mode preset and enabling 10-bit color. The monitor also includes features like customizable crosshairs and a dark stabilizer. However, the dark stabilizer is less effective on this OLED panel compared to traditional LCDs due to OLEDâs true blacks.Overall, if you can catch this monitor at a decent price and donât mind some OLED-specific quirks, itâs worth the premium for anyone wanting a single monitor that can do it all. You donât really sacrifice much with this monitor. Just do your research on OLED technology and its characteristics before pulling the trigger. While the improved image quality and color make the quirks worth dealing with, itâs important to know what youâre getting into.

Best Monitor I’ve Ever Used
Moving from 1080p to 1440 was a little weird, but I do not regret it with this monitor. Going from a (decent quality) VA panel from the previous decade to QD-OLED was well worth it… Much punchier colors (especially on black), and the difference between 240hz and 360 is much bigger than expected. If this was 4K at this size, it would be nearly perfect. The only slight drawback is brightness, but this is still pretty much the best option out there at the moment. The brightness can be substantial when from highlights in an image, but fullscreen white will appear grayish depending on brightness level and HDR mode. HDR Peak 1000 may be pleasing in games, but True Black 400 seems to be the most compatible with different media types and desktop use.Overall an awesome monitor, even if we aren’t at the point of having perfect monitors yet… Best thing I’ve used since CRTs.

Clean snd gorgeous
The 360 hz makes my picture look beyond amazing. Just make sure to adjust the settings on your computer to unlock the full potential of this monitor. Also the Alienware stand that comes with this monitor allows you to rotate the monitor vertically which is an option to take into mind if you are mounting it on a computer arm as mine doesnât allow rotation. Either way, definitely a beautiful addition to my setup.

Had to RMA within 30 days
Monitor was okay until 30 days in it powered off unexpectedly and would not power back on. Walked through troubleshooting with no luck. I would expect more from an expensive piece of equipment than internal parts failure within a month. And they’re giving me a refurbished one. Not even new despite it breaking within a month. Cool, I could’ve saved a couple hundred dollars buying it refurbished in the first place. Will not be purchasing DELL peripherals or external equipment again. Stick with ASUS.**UPDATE**Now, I’ve reached out to support and they sent me a new monitor. I was going to slightly upgrade this review but unfortunately the story gets worse. The new monitor they sent me was completely damaged in shipping (not actually new they sent me a refurbished monitor which is weird considering I paid for a BRAND NEW monitor less than 30 days ago). Now I won’t blame DELL for this since obviously they dont have control, though I will say the packaging was not done well.So I called their CS again and explained and they had me return the original monitor, hold on to the damaged one while they send another replacement. Well today is the day the package was supposed to be delivered and they put a notice out to UPS to HOLD the replacement monitor they just sent me. I called CS to see why they’re refusing to send the replacement and they told me they need the original… WOW, so now I have to wait 5 business days just for confirmation? This is after I provided all the proof of purchase and location proof and they’re worried about ME stealing? So now I’m out 800$ for an extra week with no monitor because a multi million dollar company won’t trust the package that I provided tracking information for to be the legit monitor that originally broke.STAY AWAY FROM DELL/ALIENWARE PRODUCTS.

great monitor, works awesome and looks even better, slick design great feeling and sturdy as heck; you can really tell it is end game gear just by the physical aspects alone. there were concerns about this panel lottery ive been hearing so much and mines did come with some weird markings but its only really noticable with a bulb out up to it, slightly annoying but not enough to get me to return it. 10/10 monitor, you wont be disappointed.

Best 2k monitor
I did a lot of research before purchasing this monitor and can say it is possibly the best 2k monitor on the market. The picture quality is amazing, size is perfect, with one of the top refresh rates in the competitive market.

Amazing OLED monitor. The Glossy display really allows the colors and clarity to shine.Looks great for both SDR and HDR gaming and the high refresh rate feels so smooth (noticeable even compared to my previous 144Hz Dell monitor).Great 3 year warranty included as well.Word of advice, since this uses a different pixel layout, text can look a little blurry out of the box. I highly recommend using a program called MacType and installing 1 of 2 fonts (you can look them up), either SoftGrayNoHinting or DeepGrayNoHinting. Makes text on the display look significantly better where most people probably wouldnt even know it had a different subpixel arrangement.

This monitor is simply amazing. Two things to beware tho:1. The screen looks purple under bright lighting.2. You need a display port (I use type-c to display 1.4) to reach the 360 hz.
