    Spot the old headset.
By far the best wireless headset I’ve ever owned. TL;DR for the impatient, honest review below:— Incoming audio quality: 10/10(roaring sub-bass and crystal clear highs)— Outgoing audio quality: 10/10(True-to-life quality with configurable sidetone)— Comfort: 9/10(gets pretty warm, though mostly in the summer)— Software: 7/10(takes some tweaking, but the EQ is terrific)— Durability / Usability: 9/10(minor issues from lots of HARD use, some quirks with connectivity requiring disconnecting the dongle/cable or restarting devices)__**Overall: 9.5/10**__I would never suggest any other brand, and Sennheiser’s EPOS GSP 670 stands head and shoulders above the competition. I’ve tried dozens of headsets over the years and none come close – the audio quality even rivals my Airpod Pro 2s, and that’s saying something! It’s a durable, dependable headset at a terrific price point that offers world-class audio quality for the masses. Worth every penny back when I bought my first for $290, triply so now.—— Full review ——I bought my first GSP 670 for $290 from this same seller 3.5 years ago and got a LOT of very good use out of it. Everything from Teams calls to raid nights on Discord to just chilling with music and focusing on work. I loved it so much I bought a replacement of the same unit without a second thought when my old one finally started to go out last night. The audio quality and clarity is phenomenal, and the EQ from the EPOS software is robust, if not a little fickle. The sidetone is a HUGE must for me, and it’s configurable to boot! Zero delay, with exceptional clarity. I’d probably keep using my old one and run it into the dirt if not for the microphone starting to go out. The outgoing voice quality is terrific as well, I’ve always come through crystal clear on audio recordings and comms – snorts, chortles, laughs, wheezing and all.It should be noted that these were 3.5 years of HARD use. Lots of drops, tosses, throws, tugs, and other physical stress on the headset. I was not gentle with this thing. I had to replace the earcups ONCE, but only because they were falling apart from overuse – the fitment of the earcups and comfort of the headset has never left me wanting. I managed to break the headset tensioner a few times (by throwing it…), but repaired it with a little bit of gorilla glue and a screwdriver. Very simple maintenance to make up for some rough use.I WILL say that there have been some issues creeping up at the 2-3 year mark that others have mentioned: headset refusing to turn off, mic sometimes not muting when turned up (almost had a few personal conversations come across discord thanks to that…), and the comms wheel not working to separate communication volume vs computer volume. The EPOS software is also clunky, and the Bluetooth throughput is very short range if you don’t use the dongle, though that may have been a quirk of my old set.Overall, I will never recommend another brand to my friends and family. Sennheiser somehow managed to get world-class audio in a package that’s accessible to most consumers, and at a price point that’s now A THIRD of what I happily paid in the past. Buy it now. Buy 6 of them. Buy them for your partner, kids, dogs, and anyone else you can think of.This one’s worth it.

    All around great headset
Update: After two weeks, the microphone stopped working and the headset will no longer turn off. I have seven years of IT support experience so I know what I’m doing. I spent hours looking through their technical support page, the product manuals, and third part forums, and couldn’t find a solution. I called their technical support line and they offered to call me back, but I never received a call. I suppose I could just wait 200 hours for the standby battery to deplete, but I think I’ll just attempt to get my money back instead. For this price, I shouldn’t have had this issue, and I shouldn’t have had this much trouble getting in contact with support.Original Review:I was a little skeptical about this headset because of some of the other reviews, but after a week with it, I’m very happy. For starters, I haven’t encountered any of the issues anyone else mentioned. I have a 1000 sq ft apartment and can walk anywhere without any sound distortion issues when connected via Bluetooth or the dongle. None of my computers (Windows 10) or my Android cell had any issues establishing a connection or installing drivers. When connected via Bluetooth, my work computer doesn’t like when I flip the boom mic up; it won’t reconnect when I flip it down to turn it back on. However, Bluetooth is a finicky technology and turning Bluetooth off and on resolves the issue, so I see this as a very minor one. That function works fine on my cell and with the dongle.I’m not an audiophile, but I’d say the sound quality is excellent. I have a few earbuds and another gaming headset, all in the $100-$150 range, and the GSP 670 blows them all out of the water. It’s pretty jarring to go back to my wireless earbuds that I used to think sounded great.Another minor quibble is that the controls could be labeled better or be a bit more intuitive. There are a couple of functions that I never would have guessed by just looking at the headset, and I’m normally pretty good at figuring that sort of thing out. However, after watching Sennheiser’s short video on how to operate it, I haven’t had any issues remembering what button does what.It is a very large headset and consequently looks pretty dorky when you’re wearing it, but it’s very comfortable and sturdy feeling. I’ve worn it all day for work and for a few hours of gaming at night, and haven’t experienced any discomfort whatsoever.I’m very happy with the battery life. I’ve tried to turn it off when I’m not using it, but on the occasions I’ve forgotten to, the battery life hasn’t decreased at all when it put it back on several hours later, leading me to believe that the auto-shutoff function is working correctly. I can get a few days of heavy use out of it before it needs to be charged.Build quality is a major issue for me, so I’ll make sure to update this review if I encounter any issues. For now though, it feels pretty solid. The two-year warranty also gives me some peace of mind.

Probably the best wireless headset on the market right now. I’ve been through quite a few brands (steelseries, hyperx, turtlebeach, astro) and epos is by far my favourite. Used this headset for a few months and have very few complaints.Pros:Comfortable fit with a large earcups and a headband that fits both large and small headsGreat sound quality that rivals even wired headsetsGood quality micSeparate main/communication audio channels with separate volume control for bothFast chargingCons:Pretty expensive, you could get better value for your money if price is an issueBattery life is shorter than other options availableWireless platform doesn’t allow for an easy connection to a mixamp or other external audio equipment
