Phone looked locked, but it was my carrier’s problem
Ordered Google Pixel 7a 5G, US Version, 128GB, Charcoal – Unlocked (Renewed), but am getting “Sim card not supported” error. It tells me to contact my carrier.Which I did (Walmart Family Mobile) and they fixed the problem easily.

Do not buy! False advertising.
This phone is advertised as fully unlocked. This is not true. As soon as I plugged the phone into power, I saw the attached screenshot saying the device is unsecure and not to store secure information on this device. Disappointed in Amazon as this is advertised as an Amazon Renewed device. It does work and new condition. My son decided to keep it.working on T-Mobile

New version Android 14 requires a lot of retraining from Android 7.
The Pixel phone has a different user inter face from my old phone. Learning is more involved and despite the on-line helps, not as easy to learn as the old not-Google phone was. The screen is clear and lovely in detail. However taking photos outdoors in bright sunlight is not easy, as sunlight overwhelms the screen image, making photos hard to frame or focus. Can hold hand or paper to shade the screen to try to get useful photos. Was able to quickly add apps to the phone from the Playstore. On wi-fi the operations were very good. The integration with My Google account faciliated most updates and installations. Still have issues with closing single or multiple apps without the use of the Assistant. Admit that I am a key-board and commant line addict. Overall happy to have a newer version Android for apps that require Android versons higher than 8. Screen is crisp, and battery life on Wi-Fis is excellent. Have hdad phone now for 48 hours. More later, as I acquire more experience.

My daughter also bought one of these used phones and recommended it. The price is great. Its UNLOCKED, which means that all you have to do is remove the sim card from your phone to this phone. Transfer all the information and you’re ready to go. There is no need to even call your current carrier, it’s that simple.

Ordered an unlocked phone and received a locked phone
Item received and came with a card that said “Renewed Unlocked ” and something like this device has been unlocked and just insert a sim card.Didn’t work.Phone showed’ “SIM not supported” message immediately. After a few days of troubleshooting, it turned out the phone was locked to T-Mobile. Because it has not been paid off, T-Mobile cannot unlock it.This is so shady and surprised Amazon is putting their name behind this company (Prime Cellutions) by including a card in the box that says “Thank You for Choosing Amazon renewed”.

unlocked boot loader
Ordered one for my son, no issues, boot loader was locked. He’s quite happy with itHis favorite feature: wireless charging… no more wearing out the connection port.Ordered one for myself, and the boot loader was unlocked. a BIG security risk, and would recommend anyone not to use it.- BUT – since I’m familiar with android, i did the following:1. adb sideload latest OS for the 7a (v14)- this makes sure any bad code on the phone is wiped out2. fastboot flashing lock- this locks the bootloader to prevent unsigned code from running (and erases any user data that may have been stored)this made the phone safe enough for me to use.swapped my MINT sim card from my old phone and no connection issues (texting worked without having to set anything up). Phone calls seem clearer than those on my pixel5a.

Excellent phone from Google! Amazing price!
I’ve owned a number of pixels, and the 7A is my latest and greatest acquisition. Price is a no-brainer for all of the features, especially the camera, and all of the features. Only a pixel provides. Provides. I’ve got a good case and a screen protector, and everything works just the way it’s supposed to. It’s very cool to get the latest updates before everyone else in the Android universe does, and I know that Google will continue to support this model for several years. Hard to think about any other manufacturer when it comes to Android phones. I was a die hard Samsung fan, and still am. It’s just that the pixel is pure. Also, I like having the Google one service with the VPN built-in. Again, no regrets and when the 8A comes out, I’ll be picking that one up. Of course. I’ll wait a few months. The price to come down. Might even trade this 7A in if it’s an option. Anyway, buy the 7A and you’ll have no regrets.

El teléfono llegó en una caja genérica como se esperaba pero la “huevera” era de mayor tamaño por lo que tenÃa juego y supongo en el camino se estuvo resbalando de un lado a otro. Como se puede ver en el video no se hizo ni la limpieza básica al equipo, llego con sensación grasosa y lleno de huellas y marcas. Tiene golpes y rayones en todo el contorno metálico y en las esquinas y hendiduras está todavÃa más sucio. El cable que se incluye no es original y el cargador es genérico, honestamente no es un cargador que utilizarÃa para este tipo de equipos. Supongo que lo devolveré aunque pierda el depósito de importación, no tengo confianza por el estado es que llegó el aparato y con esto dejaré de considerar los equipos “renewed” como opción.

Phone’s lovely, but the cord for charging is defective and my attempt to see if I can get a new one is an exercise in frustration. I just need a cord that will charge. I set all my phone up, got everything transferred over and realized it wasn’t charging. Changed to hubby’s cord, it charged. After all the work of putting on screen protectors, putting in passwords etc I don’t want to return the phone just want a working cord. THERE IS NO WAY OF COMMUNICATING THIS. Just get a pretend chat where you have multiple choice, not an option to type in what’s wrong. RIDICULOUS!!! No matter what option I choose there is no open ended form, just button choices. So I’ve had to choose return item when I have a working item, just a non-working accessory. THIS IS NOT SERVICE!!!
