Really great little computer for the money
Bought a renewed version of this laptop while my other was being fixed under warranty. It’s been a workhorse. I’m a professional writer, so it takes a beating. And I haven’t actually switched back yet and it’s held up well (4 months of daily use).The keyboard has great spring and spacing.The processor doesn’t lag.Mouse is responsive.The wear I do see is that some of the keys are losing their coating.My only other critique is that the screen could if have better resolution and be a bit brighter (but it’s excellent considering the price).Keeps a charge well and doesn’t burn your lap.Really great little computer.No touchscreen, but don’t really miss it. Any laptops I’ve had with them ahead have issues in the long-run.

Great laptop to send my son off to college with!
We ordered this laptop for my son, who is starting his freshman year in engineering this fall. After doing some checking, we learned he didn’t really need a top of the line computer. This laptop is perfect for him! It is fast, looks great, and was an awesome value! He also likes the backlit keyboard. Highly recommend!

Renewed? Not so much …
Product arrived quickly and packed reasonably well. That’s where the good news ends.Immediately noticed large deflection in the case that impeded the screen from opening;the power button had a weird white substance all over it and it was stuck down; and , the entire case had a sticky reside across it. Worst was the unit would not power up. After removing the battery and cycling the power numerous times it finally did get past the Dell screen only to say the the battery was not found despite it being secured locked into place. Powered down (removed the plug since the power button was stuck down) and tried to restart. Nothing. The unit never even powered up after that one time. Complete fail.So I did what the included instruction said to do and reached out to vendor (PrinterReady) support via the email address identified. This is day four and still no response. None. Funny, they were happy to take my money immediately.I’m not saying to not buy from this vendor, I’m saying be prepared for a bumpy ride.

My daughter needed a laptop and I’m a big Dell fan so I chose this one for her and she loves it. She is very happy with the performance of this machine and how lightweight it is. The ease of use and quality of the screen. I recommend this product.

Seems to be some sort of issue with the battery
I like this computer, and had another just like it for about 5 or 6 years. I bought a refurbished model because I was familiar with the computer. There seems to be an issue with the battery at times. I get a message that the battery is very low, but the battery indicator indicates that the battery is full. I never had this problem with my first computer. I leave the computer plugged in at night and when I get on in the morning there is a message that there is some battery issue and that I need to turn off the computer and disconnect the plug from the wall and then plug it back in. Sometimes there is a black screen, so I try to unplug the power line from the wall outlet and then the picture comes up and computer works fine on the battery. Something seems to be happening with the battery, but I have no idea what the problem is.

Battery wonât hold a charge out of the box! I charged it for 4 hours to 100% and lasted less than 45 minutes. Buyer beware! Iâll be contacting support tomorrow and will update with what happens.Support was useless. Seriously, donât buy.

Very frustrated with purchase and product. Unknowingly Purchased a Renewed Dell Laptop on Amazon. Thought it was new. Arrived with dirt inside the keyboard and around internal components. Started using it in January and the motherboard crashed in July. About 6 months use.
