Does what its supposed to do!
I bought this card to replace an old geforce card I had. I am not a heavy gamer, but I occasionally play some older games. This card runs them perfectly. I didn’t want to use the shared video memory my pc has because it just slows everything down. This card is great for dvd playback, and it actually plays some of the older shooters like doom 3 in ultra res with a good frame rate. If you are not a heavy gamer and need a card for movie playback, this is a great deal. Especially for the price. I also like the fact that it has a heat sync instead of a fan. Much quieter. Just make sure you have fans running in your pc to cool it down.

    Just a word of warning
I got this card for a computer that met all of the technical requirements (power supply, motherboard, etc.) and when I installed it with all the correct drivers, it seemed to work fine. However, after two weeks of use, it began to randomly shut down the computer and crazy colored lines started appearing all over the screen. The display would go black, and the computer would barely even work. Now, I know that this was a problem with the card because as soon as I removed it, the computer worked perfectly. So, if you’re willing to take a risk, then buy this card. But I would suggest getting a different one.
On a side note, in the two weeks that it worked properly, the functionality was very minimal. It doesn’t run any 3D games (like battlefield 2, 2142, call of duty 2) well at all, so if you want this for gaming, trust me; do not get this card! But if you just want it for everyday tasks like going on the internet or word processing, then it does have a pretty display with vibrant colors.
I just returned mine, and I am hoping to get a decent refund.

Not our problem, contact computer manufacture
I purchased this video card to replace the one that came installed in my Sony VAIO descktop computer. I had no problem installing the hardware, or the software, the video card is a good value. But the computer now locks up when awakening from Standby. The e-mail based customer support is one shot; you ask a question, they answer(a day or so later) you can ask another question, they answer. For my problem, the answer was; either Microsoft screensaver or the Sony computer caused the problem. That funny because the only change I had made was the video card.

    Working well for me
I bought this to replace an old ATI all-in-wonder 64MB card. It’s working well and colours are looking much better from my projector. No problems setting up or using – good value imho

This Card is NOT Compatible with the Newest Geforce 6200 Drivers
Ok, I bought this video card and threw it right in my computer as soon as I got it. First, I installed Windows 7 on the PC, which is partly why I got the video card. Windows 7 had built in drivers for the card and they worked fine, but I needed to install the official drivers for using old games. I go on the drivers site and pick the model and everything and the drivers fail to install, and thats always great. I try installing the drivers from Windows Update, which I usually would never do. Again, installation fails. I found out that everything must have thought I was using the PCI-e version of this card, because apparently nVidia stopped supporting the AGP version before the PCI-e in the drivers. I started going through older drivers and the 301 drivers installed fine but errors appeared while trying to play some games. I started to get a bit worried at this point that there was a hardware problem. I finally went through a ton of drivers and found the 280.26 drivers to install perfectly and the games worked good too. This is where you can download the 280.26 drivers that worked for me: “http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/35052/en-us”. After the drivers, the card worked fine and performed better than the Geforce 5200 FX that was in there before. The 1 star off is for the frustration of going through all of the drivers.

Great for Spores and Flight Simulator
I had a 5 year old Dell computer that needed more video power to run Spores and Flight simulator for my children. I bought this card and installed it with no problems and moved the 5 year old PC up to the children’s playroom and they are now happily playing Spores and running MS Flight simulator X with no problems. Great product at a great price.

    decent inexpensive video card
I installed this video card on my wife’s computer. She uses it for all sorts of publications and documents creation. I loaded the latest drivers and the card runs great with any business software and publication software loaded on on the machine. No games are played on that computer so I don’t know how it will do with any games. The bottom line a great basic card that works reliably.

    Very Pleased
I had an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro video card with 128 MB of memory. I decided to keep my AGP motherboard and take a chance with the EVGA 6200 with 256 MB of memory. I am really pleased with this video card..especially the price. This card doesn’t have a fan like my old one, but my motherboard temp is actually lower than it was. The digital video with my Samsung 22″ LCD looks great. If you are considering getting this card, I recommend it. Just remember to remove your old video drivers before you shut down and remove the card. Also..download the latest drivers from EVGA web site.
