I repurposed an obsolete iMac into a Linux machine and needed more memory. This memory works great and saved me a TON of money over the special “Apple approved” variants.

Works well
I just installed this product in my early 2008 iMac. I had previously upgraded to 4GB a couple of years ago. If I had known I would have gone straight to 6GB. Anyway it is now running 6GB of DDR2 SDRAM. It will be interesting to see if I stop getting the spinning pinwheel. I love my old iMac because of ease of use and it does everything I want out of a computer. Hope to keep using it for the near future.

Great up grade
Best upgrade to an outdated laptop. Very easy to swap out and computer recognized it right away when powered back on. Pricing i feel was a tad high for something so old, but other than that no complaints. It definitely changed the way my computer ran and after a hard drive upgrade as well made it feel almost new again. Amazon had the best price that I could find for this memory which helped me make my decision to buy as well. Try it for yourself to see if your computer can benefit from the upgrade.

Memory Chips for older Apple iMac 24″ Intel duo Core
Picked up a 2006 24″ iMac and upgrade the OS to Lion so wanted to upgrade the 2 Memory slots with 4GBs of RAM. The memory was reasonably priced and of good quality to help with the Apple software to run without issues, keeping this like new 2006 running well into 2020.

Simpatico with mid 2009 Macbook
I had originally ordered a 4 gb module from another seller in order to upgrade a 2009 macbook from 4 gb to 6 gb however this module was not compatible and was returned for a refund. I then ordered the 6 gb kit for macbooks from OWC. This memory was detected and has been functioning very well as may be visualized on the Activity Monitor. I like to watch live news from around the world and the performance is much better.

I installed these in an older Macbook and am relieved that they work so well. Other brand RAM sticks failed to work and I thought there might be a problem with the logic board. These were easy to install and laptop started up with no problems.
