Far better than I was expecting
I took a chance and I picked up this this Royal Kludge R75 keyboard (brown switches) during Cyber Monday at a steep discount, not expecting much. There were literally zero reviews/ratings on Amazon for this at the time, so I knew I was rolling the dice. However, I needed a small form factor keyboard that included a dedicated delete key, arrow keys, and a volume knob, and this seemed to fit the bill as there’s not a lot of options that have all four of the features I wanted. I figured it would be a piece of junk, but I was quite mistaken.Despite the rather weird company name (I guess nobody in their PR/marketing department checked what “Kludge” means in English, LOL) this turned out to be a great purchase. The typing experience is smooth, and it is the quietest mechanical keyboard I’ve ever typed on, especially considering it doesn’t have any of those rubber silencer rings around the keystems. The loud ‘clack’ noise when you bottom out a key, and the reverberating ‘ping’ sound so common to mechanical keyboards, is entirely absent. I imagine that the keyboard would be almost dead silent if you put on those silencer rings. I posted a video so you could hear the sound of the keypresses. It doesn’t do the keyboard justice, it sounds louder in the video than it really is. Trust me, the thing is very quiet. One nice thing is that it comes with a removable dust cover made of clear plastic. Rather handy, it will most definitely reduce the need for me to clean the keyboard over time.To be clear I’ve only been using it for a few days so I can’t speak as to its longevity at this point, but this thing feels solidly built and I’m very satisfied with the purchase. In fact, even if I paid full price rather than getting it at a discount, I’d still be very satisfied. If you’re looking for a solidly built compact keyboard that still has dedicated delete and arrow keys, with a rather unique, quiet sound profile, this is what you’re looking for.

Edited: Good Keyboard!
Keyboard feels good stock, even better with my own switches in it and a fresh set of keycaps, but unfortunately the keyboard does not have a delete key which is proving to be much more of a downside than I would have ever considered it to be.No software either, which can be a pro or a con. Lighting options are pretty various on the keyboard itself, but you dont have any true control over it without the option of companion software.Out of the keys that they did keep, they kept print screen, home, page up, and page down. Honestly, i’d rather have the delete key over the home button. Having a companion software to let me customize what certain keys do would make this an even better option than it already is.Sound is very clean, but not super thocky. Really decent stock stabilizers, no need to swap themEdit: I was WRONG! I simply put the wrong keycap on! There is in fact a Delete key, and there is NO print screen key, which is absolutely 100% acceptable! Very, VERY good keyboard for the price, absolutely recommend.

I love the sound of this keyboard!!!!!
It is so soft sounding and smooth to type. I switched out the brown switches for red switches which made them even better. Amazing product. Would definitely recommend it to friends who are into keyboards.

Fair price. Great start for customizing. Per key RGB via Fn + key combinations.
I recently got into mechanical keyboards with the Lofree Flow. A very «thock» low profile keyboard. But I quickly realized that normal height keyboards have more options. So I started browsing for a decently priced regular board. The Royal Kludge lineup is a bit confusing. This R75 comes in different colors, slightly different layouts, different software options and different switches. This specific model is the only one I found that was all black with no accent colors. But it has tactile switches. I spent 10 seconds typing on them before I ripped them out. Replaced with GATERON Milky Yellow Pro found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBPD1W9WI am a big fan of low profile keys, so I also ordered a set of Womier Low Profile Keycaps found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVYV67QSIt all fit together perfectly. The sound is deep, soft clicks. I love it.I specifically purchased a Royal Kludge board because of their custom software. I donât care about remapping or macros. But I wanted individual control of each key for RGB. Just super cool to lay out keys for games or letâs say a video editor. However, RK is moving away from their custom software and is now doing only QMK/VIA on these boards. Including this one. I tried downloading their software, but no luck. I also cannot find a firmware to downgrade with. But QMK/VIA works, for those who like that (which arguably is most people). But, surprise surprise! This keyboard can still do individual per key RGB via a record function. You press Fn + 1 and then Fn + Back (all described in the manual). The keyboard then goes black. Each key you press will light up. Press it again for a different color. Save your «recording» with Fn + Back. This is now stored, so you can go back to rainbow effects or solid colors. Later switch to your recorded layout again. Unfortunately only one layout can be stored as far as I can tell.Overall a decently priced board that works great with other switches and keycaps. Wintendo and macOS is fine. The knob feels high quality too. I guess the main drawback here is that according to rtings.com, most RK keyboards donât have great latency. So this is for casual gaming or just the office.

AMAZING KEYBOARD
I love 75% keyboards because they give arrowkeys while not taking up your whole desk. When buying it gives you about 4 extra hotswappable keys incass one of your keys break. It looks beautiful- made out of good materials and is really high quality. Would buy again from this brand anytime. (I got brown switch for the clickyness even though I game (not really competetive) but if you’re going for a faster keyboard get a different type and search up the differences)

Arrived earlier than expected. Love the key layout and size. It also sounds good with brown switches. Comes with 4 extra brown switches. Software can be downloaded on the manufacturer site and was easy to use esp the RGB config.
