Simply the best
I had the original, non-MK2 version for 3 years as well. For some reason, I feel the audio in my old pair was slightly better? The other pair broke, so maybe I am just reminiscing on old times and they’re actually quite similar. Regardless, they sound great. The biggest improvement for me with this pair is definitely the metal frame. The plastic on my old pair was completely cracked and broken in every which way. The new hard case is also a huge plus.It is missing the mono/stereo switch that he old pair had. I never used mono, so I don’t mind too much.

They broke…
So I’ve had these headphones since June. I DJ regularly (once a week on average) which is the only time I use these headphones.This passed weekend as I was putting them on my head…they snapped. (Photo included). My head isnt that big (7 and 5/8 on a fitted cap) and I wasnt over exerting them at all. I was just putting them on…I was shocked that it snapped so easily. For something 300+ dollars you would think they would be more durable. Perhaps mine were just defective as I looked online to see if anyone else had a similar issue and I couldnt find anything.It’s a shame because these are beautiful headphones. Going to call customer service to see what they can do…will keep everyone posted!

only complaint is that I wish they had thicker ear cushions.. my ears are by no means flat or dumbo ears; but they get fatiqueing to wear for long periods because of lack of a good thick ear cushion.. the audio quality compared to most other non- DJ headphones sounds flat; but for my application; Flat is exactly what I am looking for; being that it puts out uncolored audio from the mixers it makes it easy to work with audio; no matter the genre. the drivers put out nice; clear audio, from quiet listening to loud club nights and everywhere in between. I’ve also been loving the pair of cables that comes with it; one being braided and the other one being the coiled stretchy one, both are very useful and have held up well.4/5 stars; 5 stars if the cushions were more plush / comfortable. and definitely 5 stars for design, listening quality, and pioneer in general. their products are always top shelf.(Owner of CDJ 850’s, CDJ-2000 Nexus, (x2)CDJ 2000 nexus 2, DJM 900 Nexus, and S DJ-08 studio monitors.) and now the HDJ-2000 Mk2’s.

Ich habe mir für meine neuen CDJ & DJM Nexus 2 Serie neue Kopfhörer zum Vergleich geholt. Dabei war auch dieser Kopfhörer hier.Der Vorgänger war ja schon dafür bekannt, dass er nicht zu den besten beim abschirmen gehört, aber mit diesem sollte das (laut Pioneer) deutlich besser geworden sein.Im Endeffekt klang der Kopfhörer zwar nicht schlecht und war bequem zu tragen aber die Nachteile haben für mich hier wesentlich mehr Gewicht.Die Abschirmung von Aussengeräuschen ist quasi kaum gegeben. Gerade wenn man ihn mit anderen bekannten Modellen vergleicht. Also für den Clubbetrieb eher nicht zu empfehlen. Zum anderen ist die tonale Auslegung nicht ideal um beim Mixen die Kick und den Bass ordentlich zu separieren.Für mich ist dieser Kopfhörer mehr ein typisches Fanboy Produkt geworden.Zum Vergleich hatte ich Sennheiser HD8 und die sind, was DJing angeht, absolut empfehlenswert (starke Abschirmung). Das einzige was mir bei denen nicht gefallen hat, ist dass sie nach längerem Gebrauch leicht drücken (kann aber auch einfach an der Kopfform liegen).Alles in Allem: Wer bereit ist 300⬠und mehr zu zahlen der sollte sich meiner Erfahrung nach, lieber vorher mal bei anderen Herstellern durchhören.
