Apevia SFX-AP500W power supply is an excellent choice for compact, small form factor systems. With 500W of steady output power, lots of cable connectors and a built-in 80mm automatically thermal sensing fan it is sufficient and quiet to run a new built system or to replace a lagging/bad power supply in an older small form factor system with a wide range of peripherals and versatile applications.
APEVIA SFX-AP500W / Micro ATX / SFX 500W Power Supply
Connectors: 1 x 20+4pin Main Power, 1 x 8pin 12V(P4+4), 1 x 6/8pin PCIe, 3 x SATA, 2 x 4pin Molex, 1 x 4pin Floppy
Dimension: 125mm x 100mm x 63.5mm (4.9″ x 3.94″ x 2.5″) – L x W x H
The power supply will not power on simply by connecting the power cord to both the power supply and wall outlet. Ensure that all the power supply cables are properly connected to the PC for it to power on.
The 8pin CPU connector can be split apart to become a 4+4 by pushing one end of the 4pin down and the other end of the 4pin up for motherboards that require a 4pin power.
The 8pin PCI-E GPU connector can be split apart to become a 6+2 by pushing one end of the 6pin down and the other end of the 2pin up for graphics cards that require a 6pin power.
The 24pin motherboard connector can be split apart to become a 20+4 by pushing one end of the 20pin down and the other end of the 4pin up for motherboards that require a 20pin power.

nice little inexpensive basic power supply in SFX format
works as it should, nothing mind blowing, a simple power supply with non modular or removable cords, does as it should no problems.

It works, It’s cheap, and great for upgrading old computers.
Not much to say. Great value, hasn’t caused an issue. I wish the fan was a bit quieter, but I can’t complain too much. Gets 50% efficiently at low usage, but that’s common among power supplies. Cords are a bit cheap, but what can you expect.I wouldn’t trust it with super mission critical data or pushing 500 watts, but its amazing at what it does for cheap.

I got lucky. You may not.
I just upgraded to a mini itx system. It’s a tiny little 7.5l case so I needed an sfx psu. This one was almost too good to be true. It was the wattage I was recommended from a power consumption Calc app and the size I needed and the price was incredible.I go to build and my new system won’t post. After hours of troubleshooting and a day or 2 later, I got to inspect the components after not being able to track down the problem when I see something I’d never seen before. Fried wire and cooked sata connectors. The burn runs all the way to the psu itself.I got lucky all I lost was 1 drive. Had my whole pc shorted or a fire started, it would have been all bad.Beware. Sometimes when something looks too good to be true, it’s going to trybto light itself on fire like Richard Pryor and ruin your expensive toys.

Apevia SFX-AP500w Great price but loud 80mm fan, so I swapped the fan
Best deal on an compact SFX PSU for a mini server. Small but noisy, the stock 80mm fan makes a high pitch fan noise. All the other SFX-l with 120mm fans are quieter but cost over 120$. It would be just fine for a gaming rig but I wanted a silent PlexServer. I installed it on a Jonsbo N2 and I replaced the fan with a “Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 80mm Silent Fan” ($9.99) and it’s now almost silent. ( THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY BOYS AND GIRLS… DO NOT DO WHAT I DID ) Overall if you do not need a silent PC this is a bargain SFX psu. If you need a for a PlexServer or are going to sleep next to it…. swap the fan and it is nearly silent. ( you will still hear your other fans running and HD’s spinning) Good luck

Great price on an SFX PSU
Works great – not as noisy as other reviewers say (of course that can be just reviews getting aggregated) but worked perfectly. FYI – no 6-pin for higher end video cards – had to get an adapter to get the extra power – of course if you’re building a higher end system the power capability might not give you what you need here — but the price is right and the quality is as expected.

Plenty of power for my aging desktop
Bought it for a small case in which I put an aging i7-2600 CPU running on a micro-ATX motherboard. Powers the CPU and motherboard and also the Geforce 1050 Ti card without breaking a sweat.

    Not to shabby
Needed this for a super budget SFF itx am4 3600 build with 3200mhz ddr4 and a old 3060ti. Something small, portable and can game. I know there’s a mathematical way to predict how many watts you need. 500w seemed slim to me for what it was going to power. I took a chance on this. For only $36 I wasn’t really expecting this to pull through. To my surprise no problems at all. Have gamed on this PC for hours no issue at all. Don’t expect miracles if you have high performance parts, but if its a low power pc build this should do the trick, fantastic price as well.👌👍
