Amazing Little MacBook
UPDATE: Five months later and I am still in love with this machine. I upgraded the storage to 1TB soon after I got it, but other than that it is as received and it works like a charm. I bought it for casual home use, but find myself using it at work every day, mostly because I am so used to the MacBook keyboard.It’s a great, notebook-sized laptop. If you’ve never used a Mac before, don’t be intimidated. If you can use Windows, you can easily use a Mac. I couldn’t be happier!Original: I have been a Mac user for more than a decade and when considering the purchase of a smaller laptop the MacBook Air was definitely the way to go for me.I found this refurbished unit here on Amazon and was a little skeptical at first, but I’m so happy I made the decision to buy it. This unit was in pristine condition when I got it, it fired right up and within minutes I was able to use it.This 2014 MacBook Air seems every bit as responsive as my mid-2012 MacBook Pro and is a lot smaller and easier to carry around. It also didn’t have a blemish on it. There was really be no way of telling that this wasn’t a brand new computer.Probably not the computer you want if you’re using processor-heavy applications such as video editing and serious gaming, but for common tasks such as web surfing, email and even video calling, you can’t beat this machine.This purchase is definitely deserving of the five stars.

The battery died right after the warranty expired
Seriously don’t bother. We bought this for my daughter, a freshman in college, and thought that it wasn’t a big deal to get a refurbished model as she doesn’t need it for more than notes and papers. Literally just after the very limited warranty expired we had problems with getting it to charge. She took it to the computer repair at her university and they said they had NEVER seen anything like it. The battery was in the wrong place. They were able to move it into the right place and it seemed to work for a few weeks. Then we took it to Apple and they ran updates and it seemed to work for a few weeks. It is once again not charging. You think you are getting a deal on a computer, but I have spent a fortune fixing it. I should have just bought a new one. At this point it would have been cheaper

Left it plugged in for like 20 mins tried like 2 different hard reset/ turn on methods and it still wonât turn on donât buy from these guys I get itâs refurbished but it should at least turn on

You MUST keep the laptop plugged in while in use!
Firstly, the MacBook itself works really well. Itâs cosmetically flawed, but we all know that given the price. However, I wish the description included the batteryâs issues. You MUST keep the laptop plugged in while in use! If you donât, youâll lose about 20% charge/5 minutes this, the laptop will literally only work for an hour and 20 minutes. It sucks, but Iâm not angry due to the great price. However, I think itâs best to just go out and buy a $160 HP laptop with 4GB of ram.

Product was in good shape when it arrived but battery was not functional. Sent it back without any hassel and had it back inside of 10 days with new battery. Great folks to deal with.

This is a refurbished unit so I expected some scratches and possible blemishes. It is in good shape and not many marks. What I didnât expect was the screen to be loose and the charger to quit after 4 months. When I contacted the vendor they told me it was off warranty and I should try buying a new charger. Thanks for the help!

Very good so far. Charger cord doesnât work gets extremely hot. They are sending a new cord. So far so good. A few scratches and small dent but works great.
