I was getting a ground hum from my headphone jack on my laptop to the sound equipment I was connecting to, so I bought this and it has replaced the headphone jack on my laptop and the ground hum has gone away.

USB C end will only stay in the slot one way. Poor quality. Manufacturers defective!
