Awesome Detachable Computer, Exactly What I Wanted
I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a detachable laptop/tablet combo. It works great.I use it for MS Word and PPT, Fusion 360 CAD Modeling, and light coding because I teach those classes and it runs great. I also accidentally dropped it face down on hard floor and to my surprise it didn’t crack and everything works well (the back plate did slightly get popped but I pushed it back in place). The touchscreen, pen and keyboard all work responsively well, and the hard drive is fast (keyboard and pen come with it, awesome deal). My only two complaints is the material it’s made out of. It’s a metal plate back, which is solidly built, but the coating is this weird coarse material that’s easy to smudge with fingerprint and skin oil. It doesn’t come off with alcohol rubs. But I have a cover for it and helps avoid the problem. The audio also isn’t the greatest, but passable. I wouldn’t watch movies exclusively on this, but I’m not picky. This is also more computer than tablet. Tablets use ARM-based processors which is what Surface tablets use. This is an x86 architecture which is what dedicated PCs use. Although I think this is a mobile-light version, the architecture is still PC-based, which is what made me get this over Surface. I hope Lenovo makes another version because this is one I’d like to continue using for work. I’m very happy with this product.
