By far the best I’ve used for cycling
So happy I bought these! I’m an avid cyclist and I’ve used many headphones over the years. Cycling presents a couple of unique challenges for headphones:
Wind Noise – always pretty deafening, which means to listen to anything (mostly audiobooks or podcasts for me), you have to crank the volume up to be able to hear over the wind noise
Secure fit – I usually have to push them in further many times during a ride because ear buds tend to work themselves out as you ride – both for fear of them falling out but alway for the wind noise – it gets worse when not fully inserted
Durability – Cycling is surprisingly rough on ear buds- they don’t last very long. Probably because of the sweat, the temperature swings (I ride through the winter) and the rain
We’ll see how they do for durability, but they claim they are the toughest buds on the market. As for wind noise and fit, they are fantastic. They somehow stay firmly in place in my ears like no others that I’ve tried – without using any sort of earhooks. They just don’t move at all – which is great. Not once have i ever felt the need to push them in further during a ride. For wind noise, it is such a joy to have that substantially attenuated. Much better than the AirPod Pro’s (gone through 2 pairs) and the Soundcore Liberty 4’s I was using – all of which have failed in less than a year. I also have a pair of Sony WF-1000XM5’s, which are downright spooky in their ability to block out wind noise, but those are definitely not suited for cycling. It’s so nice to not have to crank up the volume to listen what I want to listen to! These are also the only earbuds I’ve ridden with where i could adjust the volume while riding. I love the feel of the buttons – they click, which I like more than the more common capacitive touch buttons on most others. Best app I’ve seen yet for any of my headphones. Sound quality is good, but definitely not in the same league as my Sony WF-1000XM5’s, but for cycling headphones I don’t care about that. Off the bike, I have a secondary use for these – to block out my wife’s snoring at night. They excel at that job as well – the noise cancelling is very powerful – not too far short of my Sony’s, but easily enough to block out the snoring. But the fit is a surprising benefit here as well as on the bike – i don’t have to worry at all about them falling out while im sleeping, which is not the case with any of my other earbuds. They are also supremely comfortable – i can barely even tell that I’m wearing them – which is a big deal if you intend to sleep with them. Lastly, battery life is excellent. With noise cancelling on, they easily make it through the night (which my AirPod Pro’s could not do). We’ll see how they hold up for durability, but if Jabra’s claims are true about these being the toughest earbuds around, they should hold up. Incredibly happy with these – HIGHLY recommended, and for cyclists, the best you can buy!

Outstanding Sound and Durability for an Active Lifestyle 🎧💪
I have wanted to love airpods but I just can’t. They are not comfortable, nor do they stay in my ear. I have tried Bose ones as well. These Jabra buds, however, are perfect for me!
The Jabra Elite 8 Active earbuds exceeded all my expectations! The sound quality is phenomenal, with deep bass and crisp clarity that makes music, podcasts, and calls sound amazing. The noise-canceling feature works like a charm, helping me stay focused whether I’m at the gym or working in a noisy environment.
What truly sets these apart is their durability. They’re built to handle intense workouts, sweat, and even the occasional drop without any issues. The fit is secure yet comfortable, and they stay in place even during vigorous activities.
Battery life is impressive, lasting through long sessions without needing a recharge. Pairing with devices is seamless, and the customizable settings through the app add a nice touch. These are the ultimate earbuds for anyone with an active lifestyle. Highly recommend!

Great for Sport and Everyday Use
    Update 2024
My case was stolen (the buds were in my shirt pocket), so I purchased a pair of Beats Fit Pros, which are excellent but not for everything. So, I repurchased the Jabras. After living with them for a while, I updated the pros and cons below to reflect my experience.
    Original Review (revised)
I own, have owned, or used the most popular earbuds (Airpod Pro 2s, beats, and Bose over-the-ear/ buds.
However, I decided to try these for daily use because, out of all the earbuds I’ve owned, my Jabra Elite Actives 65t’s continue to perform very well even after five years of exclusive use, which included outdoor sports (summer/ winter), cross-training and other activities with excessive sweat. Over the same five years, I’ve had multiple other earbuds fail from similar use. All the Airpods Pros ive owned develop a problem even when used under normal conditions.
    Pros:
    – They are more comfortable, stay put better in the ear, offer improved in-app features, and do not cause excess pressure compared to past versions.
    – Handle sweat and movement better than other similarly priced or slightly more expensive earbuds.
    – Very comfortable, even while lying down or with a helmet on.
    – Noise Canceling works better than expected (better than the Beat Fit Pros, but not as good as the newest Airpod Pros or Bose.
    – Buds are very, very durable (they have survived falls while hiking, falling into the snow while skiing and did not break when I was accidentally soaked)
    – Buttons/ Controls/ Features are easy to use, works well with apple products, TV’s and Computers
and have more features compared to Beats and other buds
    – Wireless charging is an option and the charging speed has improved from the older versions
    – feel like full in-ear buds
    Cons:
    – The EQ/ sound settings may need to be adjusted depending on the media type being listened to or the device being connected.
(minor annoyance doesn’t happen frequently and is mostly solved by playing with the settings)
(For example, suppose your listening preferences are set up for increased base/ treble; for music, it will sound great, but that same setting will give you a tin-like/ rough listening experience audio with speech such as movies or lectures)]
    – Sometimes it is annoying to put back into the case (but no more than most earbuds)
    – Case is less durable than past models, but a simple, cheaply priced silicone case does the trick

Very impressed with these so far. I used to buy cheaper ones on amazon sold by the disposable brand names. Then stepped it up to Skullcandy. I love my Crusher Evo over hear headphones, so I got into their ear buds. So far I own 4 different models of Skullcandy buds, some are OK, but not great. Mind you they are much cheaper than the Jabra’s.
For the last couple of months I have been working out and getting into shape. Listening to music and drowning everything else out helps me power through it. The Skullcandy’s were constantly falling out. I could only wear them when on the bike, even then as I sweat they would constantly slide out, and the wings would slip off the buds, it was a pain. If I used rubbing alcohol to clean them, and wipe my ears, they had a temporary chance of staying put.
I purchased these with the primary purpose of having something stay put while working out. Over ear headphones are too clumsy and make me too warm.
So far these have far exceeded expectations. They are the most comfortable buds I have ever worn. They did not even hint at the possibility of sliding out during the 2 hours I spent doing push ups, planks, sit ups, dumb-bells, treadmill and the bike. No ear fatigue, they did not move during any activity, did not require readjustment. Even if I opened/closed my mouth or clenched my jaw. They just do what they are supposed to do.
I am also finding the sound quality is quite good, not as much bass as over hear headphones, but for what these are, they are amazing. With other buds they had to be positioned ever so perfectly, else one would sound off (no bass), one would not seal well, or a seal would break if I moved my jaw. They tended to sound better if I was clenching my teeth, etc. These Jabra’s slide in, and there is no messing around trying to find a position in my ears where they sound good, and it seems like nothing I do can change that.
    Super happy, money well spent.
Also, the description does not clearly indicate it (or at all that I saw) but the case can be charged wirelessly.
The software is great. With Skullcandy’s its like typing morse code to get them to do what you want. These can be changed to suite yours needs, and its kept simple, and it even conveniently displays the case power level along with each ear bud, very nice touch!
Other features like pausing music when you pull out a single bud is quite nice.
The ANC is nothing like I have ever heard before on an ear bud, only on $350 Sony over ear headphones, and miles ahead of the Skullcandy. The Skullcandy was barely a reduction in noise at all in comparison to these.
This is one of those times where you get what you pay for. I know I brought up Skullcandy a lot, I figure it may be a good reference for what to expect. These cost about twice as much as even the high end Skullcandy, but I feel like you get many times more for what you pay, while not breaking the bank.

This is my first pair of Bluetooth earbuds, and I’m flabbergasted by the technology. I can’t believe that in such a tiny package, there’s enough room to fit all the components. My mind is kinda blown. Think about it. One earbud contains audio drivers, multiple mics, a battery, and an SoC with Bluetooth and a DAC. It’s insane that so much stuff can fit in there.
The sound is great, and the feature set is excellent as well. ANC works great. The behavior of the buds is programmable in the app, which is really clear and easy to use. The sound can also be adjusted from the app. The HearThrough function works surprisingly well, too. Battery life is great. The buds are physically comfortable, and feel secure in my ears.
Overall a great pair of wireless earbuds, and I’m surprised by how nice and well put together the features are.

    Like:
-> super long battery life, the buds themselves last all night plus some (with anc and hear-through turned off).
-> Comfortable, no sharp edges, fits completely within the ear.
-> The default cups were too small so initial impression about the sound wasn’t great, but improved greatly when I put the larger sized cups on.
    -> Qi charging case
    -> water and sweat proof
-> nice soft & clear indicator voice for startup, ANC and Hear-through and battery low.
    Dislike:
-> Not bass heavy – would prefer a little more at the bottom end.
-> one short button press on the left ear turns ANC and Hear-through on alternately, but not OFF. Off should be in the mix so I can save battery life without going back to the app to turn both ANC and Hear-through off completely.
-> no Apple features like reading your texts to you or notification bleeps.
-> price competes with Apple AirPod pros
