Nice laptop with awesome specs
I love this computer, very happy with the large amount of RAM and fast SSD. It meets all of my portable needs. It’s super fast boot (even with “fast boot” turned off for the reasons below), large SSD, lots of RAM and beautiful touchscreen make this a fantastic computer for most people. The only thing of note is that HP ships this thing with “fast boot” turned on, which means when you perform a “shutdown” of the computer, it is actually hibernating and still using the battery. If you are using it untethered from the power brick, the battery will be close to empty if you leave it in this state overnight. Uncheck the “fast boot” option is Settings and you can preserve your battery when you shut down the computer.Super happy with the purchase.

Fantastic
Bought this for a friend as she needed a dependable laptop. Searched high and low across specs, usability, performance, screen size, and features. This one checked all the boxes, and she couldn’t be happier with the device. Runs great, feels/looks great, and overall is an amazing purchase. One thing to note, it does come bundled with some bloatware, which a lot of it can be removed. Remove with caution, but beyond that, it’s been a great device. Even the touchscreen isn’t the typical over-sensitive touchscreen you find on a lot of devices.

Very fast!
My new HP 17″ laptop with 32gb memory is very fast. Starting Windows and opening programs happens in a snap. I bought it to support my 3D printing and CAD design hobby and it brings a new look to my CAD programs. I’m seeing features now that weren’t evident before because even with

Really deserves a 4.5 stars ranking!!!
This computer does a great job on most everything you would want it to do. I have the 1TB, 32 GB model and it runs very well and is very fast with the Intel i5 processor. In my opinion, for the difference in money, the i5 will suit most everyone’s needs unless you are doing video editing and/or other advanced processes.Remember, this IS an HP computer. It IS NOT a factory HP computer in that it has been modified by PCOnline. What this means is that HP will not honor the factory warranty on it if you send it in for repairs. HP WILL help you with telephone support and questions you may have. BE SURE TO GO THROUGH THE BIOS AND GET THE REAL SERIAL NUMBER!!!!!! If you do not have the real serial number HP will not help you! The number you receive from PCOnline is not the factory serial number, it is their serial number. These computers fall under the Essentials model line. This is the basic model that HP sells. The next up are Pavillion and the Envy lines on most of their laptops. Don’t worry–the “guts” of ALL of the computers are HP and proprietary in nature. The only real difference is that Essential computers have plastic bodies and not quite as fancy keyboards. However, most consumers will NEVER miss these options. This computer with 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD storage is very fast and does a great job! This is the THIRD computer I have purchased from PCOnline and I have been very happy with their service and products. You indeed will find that Windows 11 IS glitchy and a “pain in the ass”. Once you get your computer set up it is not too bad. But, the “learning curve” for Windows 11 for an average person will certainly be a couple of months, at least. Just take your time and reference the internet as you learn how to use your new computer. Also, download and install REVOUNINSTALLER and go to the YouTube video series “Ask Leo” regarding RevoUninstaller–that source will tell you a great deal about the software, how to use it and how important it can be.Good luck!

Very pleased so far
I replaced a 5 year old Dell because the battery wouldn’t charge, an all too common issue if you don’t use OEM replacements – the rest of the computer still works fine – so I’m done with Dell forever. So far very pleased with the HP. Glad I went with the 17″ screen and 32GB of memory.

SSD drive failure
Was okay until the hard drive failed. Less than a year old. Sits on a desk in a cool basement- so no physical reason other than just poor quality I assume.
