Mostly okay
I got this mainly so I could play retro games from my childhood (like the Atari games – yes, I am that old). I already knew this system does not play Nintendo games well, even when they are included, so I already knew some of what I was getting into before hand.I did get everything all set up and played some games – at least the ones that were most important to me personally that were actually there. The system mostly seems to work well as-is for my purposes. There are a *ton* of retro games on here that I will continue to enjoy despite not having every game I looked for. However, not all the pre-loaded games even work properly. This seems strange to me. Of the 10-12 I have tried so far, one of them would glitch out and not work. Also, there are times where the games won’t allow me to go back to the main menu after playing them, so I end up having to turn the whole system off and back on again. I’m not sure if this is a keybinding issue or if there is something else wrong with the UI, but something is definitely off. However, does work for most basic gameplay and uses, and I’m about 85% happy with it. It does work mostly like it’s supposed to.Decent value. I can mostly recommend.

Alot of fun!!
This handheld game counsel is awesome for road trips or just to occupy some free time !! I love that it comes with games too! The alien game is a hit in my home lol kids love it!! Functionality is easy!! Plus the nestalgia I get from when I had one is unreal! Graphics are more like the handhelds we had in the early 2000s without saying the name but we all know what I’m talking about! It’s just like that! Soo much fun! Well worth the price shown!

No Nintendo games
This handheld retro console is fine and has a lot of old games. However there are a lot of redundant versions of the same games. This console does not come with any Nintendo games.

Fun retro experience
The device itself is decent for the price. The vibrant and clear screen is probably the highlight, the buttons are okay. The analog sticks are uncomfortable to use for me and buttons are on the mushy side. Battery life drains somewhat quick, about 10% in 20 mins or so during gaming. The biggest let down was the ui navigation, game list and organization. It is tedious to search through games with repeats on what looks like identical console libraries. The included instructions is fairly basic and in tiny text. The included case fits the device well and secure. Also includes usb cable, usb card reader for pc data transfer, and screen protector.

Highly recommend this. Gift idea
I received this handheld game system and was very excited when I saw the purple. After charging the system I turned it on, it has an amazing screen. The graphics are superb especially considering the size. I got this amazing little device to pass the time on long car rides. I would suggest this device as a gift for kids, to pass the time on long car rides. Possibly a camping trip. There are unfathomable uses for this handheld gaming device.

Retro Fun in a Compact Design
The FINGEREVO Handheld Game Console in purple transparent is a nostalgic treat for retro gaming fans. The 3.5-inch IPS screen provides sharp visuals and vibrant colors, making classic games look fantastic. I played some old favorites, and the RK3326 chipset handled them smoothly without any lag or performance issues. The console is lightweight but has a comfortable grip, making it perfect for extended gaming sessions. The 3500mAh battery lasts around 3-5 hours, which is decent for casual use. Itâs also equipped with a screen protector and USB-C charging cable, so youâre ready to play right out of the box. This console is ideal for anyone wanting a portable way to revisit retro games. Itâs straightforward, fun, and brings back a sense of nostalgia with a modern twist. Definitely worth adding to your collection!

This K36 from FINGEREVO looks exactly like other K36 consoles. They are quite generic and come with similar software and hardware. What makes this one different are all the accessories that come with it. Most come with one accessory: card reader or screen protector, etc. This one comes with a screen protector, a card reader and a storage case. I find this really great and everything fits well in the case (including the user manual which you will need to have around). The card reader worked fine for me, I even used it between my Mac mini and my Steam Deck (with a USB A to C adapter). This console does not come with some of the most sought after games but a quick search on YouTube or Google will set you on your way to them. The UI is smooth and I had no problem with older games but PSP and PSX games had a lot of lag and stutter. I think this needs a firmware update because at this point these are not really playable. The console feels well-built with high quality materials and a nice and bright screen. It feels good in the hands although I found it a bit narrow even with my small hands. There are 2 things I really don’t like about it. First, there is a red or blue LED light in the middle on the console that you cannot turn off. It is blinding when you play in the dark. It is blue when the console is on and red while charging. I believe the clear versions of the console make this light more unbearable than the opaque plastic one. If I were to get this again, I would get the grey version. That LED light does not turn off once the console is fully charged. In fact, the only what to find out if it’s fully charged is by pressing the power button to see the battery charging indicator on the display. The second thing I don’t like are the very loud and “clicky” shoulder buttons. They are super loud and playing in bed late at night is not ideal at all unless you are single.I think this FINGEREVO version of the K36 is a great buy and if you are into emulating retro games I recommend this version over others due to the great accessories that come with it.

The console itself is cute, and comfy to hold, with two shoulder buttons on either side. The emulators seem to run fine and I didn’t see any lag with input. It does not have any Nintendo emulators or games, and in terms of games for the other systems, there’s lots of ‘filler’ games, repeated versions and demos, and an over-abundance of sports related games. You can add more games via the removable SD card and it does come with a USB reader for it, though I haven’t checked to see if you can add emulators too, as I’m a bit wary of connecting an unknown formatted SD card to any of my computers.

This console is awesome for reliving childhood gaming memories. Itâs preloaded with a ton of games, though there are a few repeats due to regional variations or different titles. The controls feel comfortable, and the screen quality is really nice for retro games. Easy to pick up and enjoy right away. Totally worth it!

Screen resolution is great for such a compact device. Has the feel of a old school gameboy but it’s a bit more ergonomically set up than that. Easy to set up, sound quality is great as well, comes with a 64gig mini sd card as well. Main issue is that some of the preloaded games are the Asian version, which is not that big of an issue to some, but they the default language in those games is not english, so it’s hard to navigate them to try to get around to seeing if you can change it or not.The L1/l2/r1/r2 buttons on the back are all across in one big line, which is an issue if the game uses both of them, as your fingers automatically curl around the outside ones to try to hit the inner ones. They needed to put them on separate lines or in different spots to really make them useful, which takes away from some of the more “recent” system games to play.

The build quality of this K36 handheld seems pretty good. I really like the grip shape compared to my Miyoo Mini Plus. Feels very solid and hefty. The buttons feel good and I like that there are joysticks which I prefer for some PS titles. The only thing I didn’t like hardware wise was the cheap SD card and card reader. Definitely use a better SD card if you value your game saves.I think performance overall was pretty good. Most arcade/2D titles run smoothly. In fighting games, I’m able to execute combos properly thanks to the system responsiveness and a great D-pad. Some 3D PS1 titles like Crash Bandicoot also run at faultless frame rates. That said, both Dreamcast and PSP emulation was a disaster and resulted in very choppy experience. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say sub 10 frames per second.Whatever OS they included seem to work fine and they bundled quite a bit of games from various systems such as MAME, Atari, Capcom, MSX, SEGA Genesis, SEGA Saturn, Neogeo, PSX, and PSP. Notably missing are any Nintendo systems, which is a shame given that the form factor looks exactly like a Gameboy. In terms of audio, the built in speaker seem fine for most titles but can get a bit screechy on others. I appreciate the headphone output also for my cheap wired earbuds. There also seems to be an OTG USB-C connector for adding external devices to the unit.Overall, it’s a decent device for 2D retro game emulation but a bit underpowered for any systems more recent. At the listed MSRP, the R36S still edges it in terms of OS usability and performance.
