Very responsive compared to previous decades of PC use.
On a self built RX6800/5800X3D system though and it was snappy as never before.Used the stand and it was bottom on, only one way on easy and one handle screw to tighten there. The main arm attached one way one and one slider/switch to hold and then let go as you put it on.Did not have a screen protector during shipping and gives a tiny sticker there instead with that message to remove, ODD! But was packed nice in Styrofoam and a bag around the actual monitor.Came with every cable and a power brick that uses a thick 12V cable then to the wall for power. All felt well done for this price point.Worked fine new right out of the box and no broken pixels.Would buy again, will update if any issues.

Amazing monitor
Iâm pretty good at calibrating monitors to look gorgeous, but I had no idea I would make this 2k monitor look better than my 4K 32 inch. The stand is amazing, great colors, great brightness, and the games that support 120 FPS on PS5 look amazing best purchase Iâve made in years

Works, but you cannot turn the monitor off.
The monitor works as required except for there being no power button. There is a “joystick” on the back that controls settings and turns on the monitor. The only way to turn the monitor off any time you need to is to rip out the power cord. Anytime you plug in the power cord the monitor will imediately turn on with no way to turn it off short of unplugging it.To “turn off” the monitor, you have to shut your computer down fully. Once your computer is fully off, you have to wait for the built in timer. The RGB lights on the back will turn off and the power light will turn amber. Then you can push in the joystick to “turn off” the monitor.Imagine not being able to turn off your TV or vehicle and having to wait for timers to run out and for them to shut themselves off. It’s that poorly designed. I can’t leave my computer running and shut the monitors off while I go to the store, or leave my computer rendering, etc. overnight with the monitors off.I’ve used numserous Viewsonic monitors for 2 decades now and this is a recent change. I will not be buying anymore Viewsonic monitors if they cannot include the most basic and important functionality.

Responsive Rendering, Bright and Vivid Colors
I have been looking for a good monitor that will fit properly on my desk and will be sufficiently responsive for streaming movies. I don’t necessarily need a gaming monitor as I only occasionally game, That said, I have seen a lot of monitors that can’t even keep up with a video stream. This is one of the better ones I have used and I am happy with it.I have had good experiences in the past with Viewsonic monitors, and this one has maintained that track record. It just works. I plugged in the power, and then I connected the monitor to my laptop via the included HDMI cable (I don’t have DisplayPort capability on my system), pushed the power button (which is on the back) and it came right up. Colors are very bright and vivid, and so far it has been exceptionally responsive in terms of video rendering.I tried running the monitor through my externally-powered USB-C connected docking station and the system never saw the monitor. I am not sure if the issue is the monitor or the docking station, though I suspect the latter. When the monitor is directly connected to my system and not through the docking station, it immediately sees the signal and responds. I plan to do some additional testing with this configuration. The speakers in the monitor aren’t the best but they are sufficient. I usually override those with a set of good external speakers or headphones anyway.I do like the monitor stand. It allows for height adjustment as well as tilt. It’s nothing fancy but it is stable and sturdy and will keep the monitor from tipping.I have this monitor connected to my laptop most of the time, and when the laptop’s screen goes blank, so does this monitor. When I move the mouse to return from screen blank, the laptop’s screen immediately comes back, but the monitor takes 5-10 seconds to come back. It does immediately respond to the signal but it doesn’t unblank the screen at the same time. It doesn’t bother me, but others may find the delay a little slow.I am pleased with this monitor. It is responsive and the colors are bright, it just works when it is plugged into the system, it renders very quickly, and it has excellent resolution.

Coming from a 1080p 27 inch this has great color and and brightness. It does 1440p/120 with hdr on ps5 If you are wondering. the monitor itself sits very tall on the mount. This monitor comes with speakers. Pretty sure it didnât say that on the box. The speakers get pretty loud and for a monitor speaker itâs actually pretty good, obviously itâs not Bose or Sony. But itâs still pretty good. There is a good amount of options as well for the settings, itâs has a joystick no buttons which is a plus.

Not sure if mine was defective, but FreeSync Premium isn’t available in AMD software, even after enabling it in the monitor settings. It should work over USB C DP Alt, according to the website. It shows Adaptive Sync Compatible instead, which means its using the standard Vesa VRR instead. The reason I purchased this, was to plug in my ROG Ally X for desktop gaming. However not having the advertised freesync premium is disappointing. Unfortunately this monitor doesn’t even have a USB hub to plug in your mouse/keyboard. Strange, as most USB C monitors feature one. This isn’t an issue for most gaming computers, but for gaming handhelds that only have a single USB C port, this would require buying a separate USB C hub which defeats the purpose of the single cable solution.Packaging leaves a lot to be desired, as entire parts of the screen are exposed to the cardboard box. Thankfully, mine came in good condition.Colors looks good, but there’s a little backlight bleed as expected. The stand has a good height to it, and the RGB is actually quite nice. I’m going to have to return mine for the above reasons, but seems like a good monitor otherwise.
