Perfect USB hub that has the best extension length!!!
This USB hub is so slim!! Hands down the lightest little thing I’ve seen for a HUB. Extremely lightweight and portable. I personally love the fact it has a long extended cord range so it’s not dangling beside the laptop. Has plenty of cord length to keep on the desk close by! The design factor makes sense as it’s easy to setup and throw in your laptop bag. Functionality it works well. When you actually get it in your hands your 1st thought would be ‘this isn’t going to be durable’ due to its lightweight size. I use this in my mobile music studio setup and everything I’ve plugged in functions great. I haven’t tried plugging in my 1TB external hard drive in this unit as I prefer to do direct to laptop USB for heavy usage items like that. What I have plugged in was the following. External type keyboard, wired mouse, 25 key midi keyboard and my akai midi pad controller. All Functional and no lag from what I’ve been able to find. Hope this information helps some of you. In the end you’ll enjoy the USB cord extention length the most. Hard to find hubs with this long of cable within this price point. No noise issues as well. Quiet as a mouse. Loll. Excellent USB 3.0 Hub works so well I bought another!
After purchasing a new laptop a few months ago, I knew that I would have to purchase a USB hub, as my laptop only came with 3 ports, and I needed more than just that. The result of this led me to look online, where I stumbled across this product (Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Ultra Slim Data USB Hub with 2ft Extended Cable) as it was Amazon’s choice in USB Hub’s. After receiving the product, and using it for a few weeks, I decided to purchase another! I am excited to discuss why I like this product, and why I think that you, too, will have a great experience with ANKER (regarding this product). As usual TLDR at bottom.PRO’s-This USB hub is extremely modern and slim, which I really like the look of! About the same thickness of my laptop (maybe around 1cm or so). It is also very light, which makes it easy to throw in my bag when I need to take it on the go.-I can run my webcam, microphone, mouse, and keyboard all on the same hub! This allows for me to utilize four separate products in a hub that only takes up one port in total! This really helps since the amount of USB based products that I used greatly outnumbers the amount on my computer, and I wouldn’t be able to use products I need without this hub! Do keep in mind there is a limit for the number of devices you can place on this hub, (check on listing description for more information), but I have had no problems connecting and running what I need to on this hub).-USB Hub comes with a warranty card and instructions which are both appreciated. Also goes into detail about customer service and support, set up details, and other information regarding this product.-USB Hub is available in black (not sure if there are any other colors), but they really made a nice-looking product! Sure, there are some cheaper ones, but in my opinion, I much prefer the look and feel of this product, almost premium.Middle Ground (Product information that is not amazing but not awful)-Cable length is advertised as 2ft, which is correct. I do feel that YMMV depending on how far away your desktop PC is from where you need the USB hub to be. I use a laptop, so I never have any problems with cable length, but I don’t think if they added an extra foot or two to the length would really hurt the product. (Might be a good idea for a future model).-Product feels a tiny bit flimsy, nothing that I worry about, but be cautious of holding it too hard, as it is already thing with multiple hollowed out points for the USB slots.-There is a small LED light that indicates the USB Hub has power. It is not bright at all but sometimes that you may want to note if any light at all bothers you. Really hasn’t been a problem for me, and if it is for you, just get a piece of tape.CON’s-Fortunately, I haven’t had anything that would be a con for this product, it just is all around a great product, which is why I feel it deserves 5/5 stars. If you are looking for a USB hub, I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed!TLDR: Excellent USB Hub all Around. Double check how much cable length you need (as this is only 2ft) but asides from that highly recommend.

No transfer speed loss due to this hub
This Anker USB 3 hub performs very well! I’ll recommend it right up front! 5 stars!I ran Crystal DiskMark tests on all 4 ports to ensure all ports worked as they should. The device tested was a SSK SSD USB flash drive, connected to a Thinkpad USB 3.0 port. Test results indicate all ports operational with very similar transfer speeds as seen in the photos. I only care about sequential read/write speeds so didn’t run the other tests in CDM. Basically, this hub shows miniscule, to what I consider, NO LOSS, in transfer speed. Readings can always vary using CDM, so I really consider this hub exceptional.Now… all I have to hope for is that it lasts a long time! All my Anker stuff has done quite well over the years, so finger’s crossed. Again… 5 stars!
