Each color handset can be placed to a different room. No more confusion which handset goes to which base. What’s more, the system is expandable up to 5 handsets. You can choose different color handset to expand your system:

Less power wastage
The power conserving technology reduces power consumption for optimal battery performance according to the distance between the telephone base and the handset. When the telephone base communicates with the handset, ECO mode will be activated automatically.
Never missed a call
This telephone has a built in answering system, and it also supports Voicemail if you have subscribed the service from your service provider. Different indicators used for two different types of voice messages: those left on the built-in answering system and those left at your telephone service provider’s voicemail. If “XX new messages” display on the handsets and the message window on the telephone base flashes, they are messages recorded on the built-in answering system. If “New voicemail” display on the handsets, your telephone service provider is indicating that it has new voicemail for you.

It can record and store up to 99 messages, depending on the length of each message. Each message can be up to 3 minutes in length. The total storage capacity for the announcement, messages and memos is approximately 14 minutes.
Know who’s calling
If you subscribe to caller ID and call waiting service from your service provider, information about each caller will appear after the first or second ring. The caller ID log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name.
You can review, redial and copy an entry into the phonebook directory.

50 phonebook and 9 speed dial entries
The directory can store up to 50 entries which are shared by all system handsets. Each entry may consist of a phone number up to 30 digits and a name up to 15 characters. Directory entries are shared by all system handsets.
You can copy up to 9 directory entries into the speed dial locations (0 and 2-9) so that you can dial these numbers using fewer keys than usual.

Work great
I hadn’t replaced my phones for about 10 years and the batteries were shot. This has vibrant colors and it makes it easy to see who didn’t put the phone up lol. I like VTech phones they work great and the last set held up 10 years..probably could have just replaced the batteries but this was a good deal. I do like the spam warning on numbers I don’t recognize. It has the answering machine so I can screen my calls. I really like these phones they are not complicated and easy to use. Volume is good. It’s easy to see who called last. Set up is simple just plug them in.

These work perfectly. I didn’t even have to link them to the mothership. Very clear on speakerphone. I had a previous set for almost ten years and they were perfect from day one, but you had to link them and occasionally reset them. These are light years better.

Nice inexpensive set of phones!
DId some reading and research before I purchased and these were rated as high as any of the more expensive brands. I liked that they were color matched (phone and base) there are quite a few options when you read the instructions. I bought them for my 80 y/o sister to replace an old set. They all ring so that is nice, you can hear the message and the person talking from quite a distance. Enough for now, she hasn’t had them for too long so I don’t want to talk to longevity. If need be I will leave more feedback.

OK phone. No match VTECHs excellent 2431 GIGAPHONE.
This phone replaces two VTECH 2431 2.4Ghz GIGAPHONES that I’ve had for over 21 years and really loved. One phone developed an issue with the keypad (buttons were becoming hard to press) but still worked. The other started developed an issue with static on the line so I thought it would be a good time to replace them…and this was the closest match. Unfortunately, the excellent 2431 is no longer available. I like the reliability, voice quality, range, and features of VTECH phones. However, thisphone is only OK and definitely no match for the 2431. There are a few features I don’t like. First, as a few others have mentioned, this phone does not have the MESSAGE WAITING LED of the older 2431. This was a blinking green LED on the top of the phone to indicate that you had new voicemail. You could simply glance at the phone, even from across the room, to tell that a message was waiting. The LED was also duplicated on the base station. For this phone, the only way to tell if there is a new message is to lift the phone off of the cradle to light up the display and look for the VM envelope icon. Not very user friendly. The second thing that bothers me is that there is an annoying bright RED LED on the front of the phone to indicate that the phone is in it’s cradle and charging. The phone sits on mydesk and this LED really bothers me. It’s too bright. Would prefer if VTECH changed this LED back to a green MESSAGE WAITING LED. That would be a more useful feature. Perhaps move the CHARGE LED to the base instead. This is being picky, but I’m also not too crazy about the ring tones. I prefer the tones on the 2431. Also, the 2431 base was a full featured speakerphone that included a keypad and duplicated the buttons on the handset and included LEDs for MESSAGE WAITING, POWER, LINE IN USE, and HANDSET CHARGING. Even without the handset, you could make calls from the base station as well as use the base as an intercom. For this phone, the base simply has a “find handset” button and LINE IN USE LED, no speaker phone feature. The speaker phone feature is only available on the handset. Although it looks like the base speakerphone features are available in more expensive models.

It looks great easy to use the size is compatible with my little corner in all aspects great durability since I fold it already and it didn’t smash the part best of all it’s available in five different handsets so it’s very much keeps my mind at ease with a little kids at home

can’t read the screen, as it is too small and not bright enough
Sorry to say, it isn’t nearly as good as my old panasonic that finally wore out. It was easy enough to set up even though directions were on one large sheet with many folds, so it was hard to locate specific directions.The biggest disappointment is that the screen is SMALL and on dim side. Almost impossible to read most of the time. May be OK for younger people with better eyesight–definitely not for seniors. The voice quality is also little tinny. But, It wasn’t too expensive and it was on sale after Thanksgiving. So far it works as a landline, but I tend to be old school and depend on a landline more than most. I will probably use it for awhile, then toss it.
