Why can’t the SSD be recognized after installation?
When using an SSD for the first time, it needs to be formatted and partitioned first. You can use “Disk Management Tool” to format and partition the SSD, and then use it in “Windows Explorer”.
Why is the product capacity displayed on the computer not 1TB or 2TB?
Because the manufacturer’s calculation method is 1TB=1000MB=1000000KB=1000000000B, and the computer system’s calculation method is 1TB=1024MB=1024*1024KB=1024*1024*1024B, so the capacity you see is 1TB=(1000*1000*1000)/(1024*1024*1024)TB≈0.93TB.

This SSD was defective right out of its box. Fortunately Amazon’s return policy is easy to use.Here is a general tip. Always try to open a package with minimum tearing or cutting, keep the packaging for possible return and test whether it works within the return window.

New SSD for early 2015 MacBook pro
Took awhile to figure it out. Used it in an external enclosure. It MUST be formatted first. MacOS Yosemite would not format.Had to update OS to Monterey FIRST. Next reboot into recovery and download Monterey into external drive with new SSD. I then installed new SSD into MacBook pro and it works great.

2014 Macbook pro does not see ssd. Not working with Osx 10.9
The product casing and company does look trustful. Im not sure if I received a bad unit, but I can not get mine to work. I take out my old one, put in the new one, boot from a mac osx install drive, and the install disk does not see the ssd. I take it out, try the old one, and the install disk sees it. I then tried to use the wifi download recovery and it also did not see the ssd. I tried to install mavericks osx 10.9 and I just cannot get the ssd to work. I would like to get a replacement, or some help from the manufacturer to resolve this issue. As I would like to use one made by fanxiang.

Ha llegado en menos de 5 dÃas y la compatibilidad con mi Macbook Pro de mediados de 2014 ha sido perfecta, ha sido montarlo en mi ordenador, arrancarlo con CMD + R… Reinstalar el sistema operativo y a funcionar. 1TB más de espacio que hace que mi ordenador dure otros 5 años más extra a un precio razonable. Ich habe lange überlegt, ob sich der Kauf lohnt, aber für den Preis dachte ich, warum nicht einen Versuch wagen ð â und es war ein Volltreffer! Das Upgrade passt perfekt in meinen Mac Pro von 2013, der jetzt wieder wunderbar läuft und sicher noch einige Jahre durchhält. Ein paar Tipps zur Installation: Online-Installation funktioniert NICHT. Am besten die letzte macOS-Version vorher herunterladen und dann über einen USB-Stick oder eine externe Festplatte installieren. Die Ãbertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist super, alles läuft flüssig. Nach der Installation empfehle ich noch ein PRAM- und SMC-Reset. Viel Spaà beim Aufrüsten! ð
