It works fine and super easy to install
The machine is a mid 2009 MacBook Pro. Earlier I replaced 4Gb (2x2Gb) with 8Gb (2x4Gb) from another manufacture from Amazon. Failure. I returned it to Amazon for a refund and bought this 8Gb set. It works perfectly. The machine is now far more responsive. It’s a great way to update an old machine so tha that it works more like a modern machine. The motivation for the memory increase:Apple no longer supports this old of a machine with software updates. This means one cannot update any new apps or update old one. A big problem! But with some research, one can install the latest operating system. But it’s more of a memory hog than the older operating systems. At that point it became absolutely necessary to increase memory. With the ne operating system and the first increase of memory, it is like a brand new machine (well close anyway). It sure beats buying a new machine.Ease of installation:You need something like a jewelry set of screwdrivers to take off about 10 screws off the bottom metal base. The screws are very small so be sure to put them in a container so they don’t roll off the table never to be seen again. Upon removing the bottom base cover, the memory is right in front of you. Just push the side holding restraints sideways and the memory card pops out. Simply replace the cards, and screw on the bottom plate. 5-10 minutes and the job is complete.

Works for A1297 MacBook Pro 17″
Worked very well and fixed all issues in RAM. I have a MacBook Pro 17-inch from Mid 2010. This fit easily fixing any RAM issues. System information recognized well and that was that. A great price. Satisfied!

8GB RAM for MacBook Pro (Mid 2009, 15”)
Working great in my Mid 2009 15” Apple MacBook Pro. Installation took under 5 minutes and was a breeze. Had an old machine around for legacy software and wanted more RAM for heavier programs. This did the trick and was very affordable.

    Works fine, but
I installed one of this kit in my IMac Late 2009 27-inch model. (12GBs, as a whole.)It’s been about three weeks, and so far it works just fine — no problem whatsoever.Just that their maker, part number and serial number don’t show up in the system information. They all appear as 0x with lots of zeros.Cpu-z, a Windows sysinfo application, shows nothing except their speed and capacity.Well I can persuade my ego to close one eye and recall my long-lost art of remembering that they are A-Tech Premium Memories. :-)Other than that they all work just fine.

    Affordable upgrade
I had an old 2009 MacBook laying around that only had 2gb RAM. So I installed this (very easy to install, you just need a small screwdriver) and now it’s waaaaaay faster. I definitely feel like it’s worth twenty bucks.

No issues yet for my old 24″ iMac
I was able to install these into my old 2009 24″ iMac with no issues at all to replace the old 2 gb ones that were there. Runs much better now regarding multiple applications running at the same time.

Good purchase, does what it claims. Tested and works on 15” MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) which is a very finicky laptop as higher speed RAM modules are not supported. This laptop supports a max of 8gb, so this set is just perfect. The A-Tech RAM module has SK Hynix ram chips which is a very well known memory products company. The RAM has been installed today and tested only for a few hours, noticeable increase in responsiveness in the laptop. I hope it lasts for a long time though there is no reason why it should not.Purchased and upgraded for a friend’s laptop. Bought after researching and glad it works. Thankfully this brand does not have the Apple tax for this memory.

After installing this product properly (it’s not that complicated), my Macbook Pro just stopped working the next day. After turning it on the first time with this product, it seemed sluggish, then it sped up after about 40 minutes. The next day my laptop went into a bootloop and I could not get it to work again. At least I could get my data off of the hard-drive, but had to also buy a firewire to connect to another macbook to do this. Not sure if this was a cooincidence or not, but I don’t think it was. My laptop was an older model, from late 2011, but it was in pristine condition. Even after opening and checking the hardware inside, nothing seemed wrong. Can’t tale it to Apple as the model is absolete. May have to take it elsewhere to check. If it was something else, I will update this post.I have since had to get a new laptop. The packaging etc was great on the product…
