Great headphones with clear sound
I’m very impressed with sound quality. Unlike most headphones I’ve tried before ($100-150 range), sound is very clear and neutral.Very comfortable with a huge adjustment range.Microphone is great, but it might need amplification. I have Xonar sound card in my PC and with it’s mic gain set to maximum, I believe it’s still a bit lacking in volume, but said that, quality of it is impeccable

Great quality headset
I had been researching headsets for my student broadcast organization. I decided to go with the HMD 300 Pro for a few reasons. I have always liked the Sennheiser brand for their quality equipment. I was extremely happy with the improvements that have been made over the HMD 280. The active noise cancelation works great in a crowded basketball arena. The microphone delivers crystal clear sound without the “tin can” sound you get with other broadcast headsets. What really set it over the top for me is that the ear and head band pads can be replaced if they get worn out.In my opinion, this is a great middle price range headset for sportscasting and I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy their first headset.

Excellent headphones, not so versatile microphone
As described in other reviews, multiple characteristics set HMD 300 PRO-XQ-2 apart: high level of passive noise attenuation, very even frequency response, low level of distortions, excellent long-term comfort, and meaningful protection from excessive loudness. Please be aware that the microphone is tuned for picking up regular speech in noisy environments. You’d need to keep it very close to mouth, and amplify by up to 60 dB at that. It also distorts quite a bit. Basically, it is a call-center-grade microphone rather than a studio or even a teleconference one.Unlike many professional dynamic microphones, this one doesn’t ignore phantom power, so it is not useful while mixed with condenser microphones on consoles with global phantom power. It appears that some corners have been cut. Would appreciate a more studio-oriented design approach.

The product did not work, nor did the replacement
I ordered this brand of headset because I have had great success with Sennheiser. The original headset I received, as I recall, sounded fine when I tested it, but when I went to use it for a broadcast, there was a pound hiss in the headphones and I could barely hear the microphone. I returned it and got a replacement, same model. Out of the box, hissing problem again and canât hear the mic very well. A few days later it was sounding like it should, but when I went to use the replacement for a broadcast, hissing and mic issues returned. So, I have returned this one as well, requested a refund, and ordered a different brand.

Won’t disappoint..
Took my time researching different headsets, I needed them for heaving gaming and editing. In the end I went with these. I was not disappointed. It is best to run these off a Dac/Amp combo. But there are plenty to choose from. I was a little concerned/confused that they come in just a brown box but the build quality is great. 10/10

Microphone malfunctioned after ~1 month of light use
When it’s working properly, I love this product. The headset is extremely comfortable and the headphones sound great. The adjustable microphone sounds excellent on recordings and through monitors. Most unfortunately, one month of light, infrequent use of this headset resulted in an unexpected and unexplained major loss of signal through the microphone. Sennheiser customer service, when contacted directly, could only suggest I have it sent in for repair or replacement, as there is no logical explanation for the microphone malfunction. If my experience was a fluke, I would return to amend my review and give the product at 5 stars on all levels, pending it doesn’t experience another malfunction like this.

Attention!! XLR-3 cable
first, Comfort is good, but case the insulation the pads of the headphone are leather it’s high quality don’t understand me wrong, but with a couple of hours of use it starts to heat, and your ears will sweat.second, for the HMD 300 (PRO-XQ-2), it comes with only one cable 1/4 âjack plug for audio and XLR-3 port in one cable, so if your amp has only a 1/4 jack the mic will not work with you.Third, sound in my humble opinion these headsets are for making music not enjoying the music if you are just a user want to have fun with your playlist these are not for you but if you want to make music I think go for it. it has a flat bass and sharp sound and you could hear the details in the background.I hope this review will help someone out there, and I requested a refund and Bought the (DT 770 pro) they are more simple user-friendly.

I always admire the quality of Sennheiser and I do have a couple of them. This product is amazingly excellent and good even for a stage performance. However I found the sound was too loo and had to return this item. I would love to buy it again if it gives a good volume of sound… Amazon earnestly admitted my request to return and refund was instant.

I love Sennheiser in general but this model is absolutely no good for music listening or singing. Neither the headphone or mic have any bass response, and the mic is a very low output dynamic type. Probably great for communication but not for music or serious audio. Get the HME 27 if you want pro audio quality.
