Strong when fully charged
Bought this to use to fill a very large king size air mattress while camping. I tested it at home and it worked. While camping it worked extremely well to fill, do an extra fill for firmness at night, and to deflate. All of that had very little drain on the charge. Maybe reduced the charge by 5% max. I was very pleased with the performance.Also it really does reach full charge within 1 hour! Amazing for the amount of power it holds.Cons – when fully charged and not plugged in it lost about 45% of its charge in about a week of storage

Great for camping/boondocking, even better with portable 160W solar panel.
I had my River 2 Max for over a year now and have used for rockhounding trips 3 times now. Works great to power my 44L portable cooler (compressor type) 24 hours a day, recharge iPhone nightly, and also recharge my Dewalt 20V x 5Ahr battery at least 3 times each day. This is with a 160W portable folding solar panel which I only adjust to align with sun 3 or 4 times each day, so not optimized max solar capacity. Spent 7 days in the hills with my Ecoflow and it never dropped below 50% charge the entire time. Very happy!

From sadness to gladness
We were notified the generator was delivered, but sadly it was to a wrong address. We contacted the seller and they investigated the matter then informed us it was lost and offered a refund or replacement. Since we took so long searching for a reputable solar generator for my wife’s home version Cpap machine, we requested a replacement because this brand recieved high marks.I expressed the stress over the delivery ordeal to the seller and they IMMEDIATELY DELIVERED the replacement and a generous gratuity!! We were shocked with joy at the generous response of the seller and even more so about the generator!!It’s easy to use, no noise whatsoever except a small alert telling you when it’s ready, charges quickly and lasts for hours! It’s not that heavy, fits into the decor beautifully!Thank you again so very much for your professionalism and resolution, you’ve made us both very glad!!

(STILL) Totally Satisfied- Update after a year
So I’ve been researching solar generators for a couple years now, reading/watching about anything I can find & Ecoflow has been the front runner on almost every review I’ve seen. My main interest in these was for back up power in case of the “dreaded grid failure” here at home, plus I have a little camp out in the woods of Alabama, 600 miles away that I spend about 4 weeks a year at & when the power goes out there, it’s DARK! I mainly just need to power my coffee maker, mini fridge, ice maker, microwave, a lamp & charge my tool batteries. I decided on purchasing the River 2 Max & I LOVE it! It’s small, weighs under 15 pounds, has 4 AC outputs & 4 DC. When it arrived it was charged to 30%, I had it up to 100% in a little over 30 minutes. It also has the inverter built in, so no power brick to pack up & can also be charged by your vehicle or solar panel. For glamping, using around the backyard when you don’t want to run an extension cord or have AC power in your vehicle, this thing is perfect. I do not have any regrets buying this unit, I would recommend it to anyone & it’s very inexpensive for what you get, compared to what I’ve researched. It also ships quickly & Ecoflow’s communication is outstanding before & after the sale. UPDATE: Of my three solar generators, this is still my go-to & favorite. It’s been a great during power outages at home, keeping my internet, Wi-Fi & some lights on. I’ve taken it camping & I use it at my cabin when I don’t want to run extension cords. My latest use, I’ve been providing music & public address system for my class reunions for 25 years. This past weekend was our 50th, yes I’m old. One of the biggest hassles is dealing with my 4 outlet, heavy duty extension cord. Besides hauling it, trying to avoid a trip hazard & trying to hide the big ugly thing, it’s heavy & a pain to roll back up. This time I used my River 2 Max & it was a piece of cake. I had everything confined to one small area, powered my sound system & laptop for over 6 hours, with no unsightly cables. It also made set-up & packing out much easier & faster. It still had over 70% power left when I shut it down & bonus, it’s about 5 lbs lighter than my extension cord. I also found the app very handy to keep an eye on the power usage. I have no doubts this unit will outlast me. Thank you Eco-Flow for your fine products, had I started with Eco-Flow, it would be the only brand I own.

UPDATE 2: I’m happy to report that the unit performed perfectly during a seven hour long night of astrophotography using both types of DC outputs (cigarette lighter and DC5521 port) to run both the telescope mount and wireless control unit, including dew heaters. The gear used up 40% of the capacity, consistent with the reported output wattage. In addition, EcoFlow has followed through on sorting out the refund on the original unit as promised. So, again, very impressed with their customer service and definitely can recommend dealing with them!UPDATE 1: I am updating my review based on a couple of weeks of interaction with EcoFlow’s customer service. After being quickly contacted by them and walked through some troubleshooting, I was asked to return the original unit for a replacement. This proceeded relatively smoothly and a new unit eventually arrived on my doorstep the other day.I am very happy to say that the DC outputs on this unit work as expected; where the original unit showed OVERLOAD and shut down, this one powers my astrophotography gear properly with no such issues. I will put it through some overnight imaging testing within the next week or so but I have every reason to expect that the unit will perform as advertised and expected. I am looking forward to using it for many years to come!A BIG shout out to EcoFlow’s customer service – they were unfailingly polite, responded rapidly, and “made things right” as they worked to resolve the issues I was experiencing. Once the remaining charges on my card are resolved (and I have properly night-tested the unit), I anticipate updating my rating to 5 stars to reflect their helpfulness and the products’ capabilities.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This unit was purchased after a fair bit of research and comparison to similar units by other manufacturers. It came well packaged, charged VERY quickly, is surprisingly compact and portable and has an extensive feature list including an app which connects to the unit & monitors/controls it. It was purchased with the intent of using it to run an astrophotography setup from the DC outputs. I’ve used other brands’ smaller capacity units to do this without problem and looked forward to the larger capacity and extra features this unit advertised.This is where the issues arose. Immediately I ran into OVERLOAD messages & disconnects when using either of the DC outputs. These should be capable of up to 3A at 12V, but despite my device(s) drawing only 25 W the unit would consistently shut down with the OVERLOAD message. Thinking that my heaters were potentially causing current spikes beyond the 3A limit, I used the cigarette lighter output (which supports 8A) but again, same issue. The unit SHOULD be able to handle 100W+ on the DC outputs but I could not get my 20-35 W to function. I was able to use an AC adapter from the AC outputs to run one of the devices without problem, but that requires using the adapter (rather than just a DC cable) and the inefficiency of converting the battery to AC and then back to DC again; run time was less impressive as a result.I don’t know if this is typical or if I have a defective unit, so further investigation is warranted. I DID update the firmware to the current version but it did NOT help with this issue.
