Great phones
These phones are solid built and have good battery life, the range is not as good as advertised but has more range than other phones I’ve used! if you had a clear line of sight they may reach the advertised distance, trees, building’s, metal building’s especially or hills will interfere with reception. other than that I like them.

Really poor reach
I am the GM of a four story hotel and we needed cordless phones that would reach out to the lot and dumpsters, as well as inside the building, in all guest rooms and the length of the hallways on each floor. I bought some AT&T phones originally and they were terrible so I decided to splurge and buy these. They boosted both a far distance for inside and outside but they are quite terrible for both. They donât even reach right outside the back door, which isnât much distance from the base, let alone around the parking lot or to the dumpsters. They donât reach inside guest rooms that are right across from the base in the office. I spent far too much money on these for them to be even worse than the cheap phones we originally had. Very disappointed.The sound on one phone is very wonky, even with adjustments. And the battery life is absolutely godawful! Do not buy these phones!

Great range
I’ve used this phone for about 3 years now. If I ever need to replace it it will be with another. I use the phone for work that covers about 40 acres. I mounted the base on the outside of my shop about 10′ in the air to clear obstructions. I have been out on the road almost a 1/4 mile away and answered it with clear reception. Battery life originally was a week or more now with age it’s not quite a week. Best damn cordless phone I’ve ever had in 30 years of different brands

Good extended range lousy sound but waterproof
You buy what you’re looking for. It’s hard to find a waterproof set and this one has very good range you can get quite far. Problem is people don’t hear you very well especially when you’re on speaker phone.The battery life is extremely short which is relatively okay for me as I don’t need the batteries to last forever but they’re surprisingly short living. I wanted a phone that I could leave out in the rain and that’s what I have although these phones have rarely ever seen wet weather.The phone I show in the picture stopped working quite a while ago and I wish I was on to it before the one year point. Now the phones are a little bit over a year and I’m realizing that this phone is got problems. I thought perhaps I hadn’t charged it properly so I kept giving it a chance. I don’t use them very often now because of their poor quality so I wasn’t up on checking to see how well it was working. Sometimes it would work for a while and well, now it doesn’t.I have no idea what “test mode” means. I’ll have to call the company to find out what the problem is with this phone.Update: call Motorola and they have issued a replacement. I will update this review again when I see how well that replacement works. But that gives you a sense that the company is very easy to work with. So I thought I should up them one more ââââ.

Not worth the money.
I thought I was purchasing the latest/greatest cordless phone for the price I paid. This (Motorola 0213) is the worst phone I have ever had. I gave it a week of use thinking I might just need to get used to it. It never got any better. The sound on the receiver will blow your ears off even on the lowest setting. I tried to get hold of Motorola to find out if there was a fix, and I discovered that I had a better chance of winning the lottery. Reading the ownerâs manual was worthless. Even setting the answering machine was complicated. I ordered a Panasonic phone instead and am very happy with it.

Solved my range problem
We have a property with two buildings out in the boonies where cell service is marginal, and cable VOIP phone service in one of them. Our previous cordless phones which had the answering capability built into the base station wouldn’t reach the other building. The O214s not only worked well anywhere in either building, the answering machine functions could be accessed from any handset, not just the base station. Big improvement!
