Works as described! Good buy for the money spent!
I use it for my home computer system. Be sure to follow the instructions precisely when it comes to connecting devices to this unit. Only connect what you really need in the event of a power outage, to the powered outlets. Computer, modem, monitor, even a small desk lamp/light. Follow the instructions and DO NOT connect devices like laser printers as they require a large power output to operate, and will create a major drain on this device, even if they’re not printing anything. Besides, how often do you have to print documents that you need power to your printer at all times? I connected my printer and stereo speakers to a separate power strip connected to a different outlet in the room. The software disc that comes with it installs easily, and adds a monitor display screen to your task bar. This can be opened to show the power available from the unit, should you lose power, as well as, the power drain that would be in effect to the devices you have attached, and your total battery time remaining based on devices that are connected. You can run diagnostic tests to make sure it’s fully functional. You can also configure the alarm and software sounds, the length of time your computer runs on battery, and voltage controls for the tolerance of your UPS to voltage flucuations.Simply put, if you have too many devices plugged in and the power drain exceeds the power available, your backup power will drain much faster, and some devices, like your computer, may suffer from a hard crash resulting in lost data that you did not have time to save. You get nine outlets for your devices. A column of five powered/surge protected outlets on one side, and a column of four surge protection only (non-powered) outlets on the other side. In the center you have phone line in/out ports, coax in/out ports, and a reset button. Above the column of four non-powered/surge protect only outlets is the interface port for connection to one of your computers USB ports. A USB cable, Phone cable and Power Cord for this unit are included. So may sure you have an available USB port on your computer!Directions tell you to plug the unit in by itself to charge it up, before connecting your devices. Lucky for me, mine was already fully charged, so my setup only took a few minutes. I don’t know how long it would take to charge it up fully from a depleted state, so don’t expect to put it right to use, just out of the box. Afterall who knows how long yours was packaged and sitting on a shelf somewhere before it was shipped to the store, and/or to you.The only drawback I can foresee is that not all power plugs are shaped the same and you may find yourself doing some fancy maneuvering of power plugs on the back of this device, to make sure you connect all that you want to. Large/Wide power plugs attached at the top, or in the center, may block access to the coax and/or phone line ports. I don’t use any coax connections so I didn’t mind blocking one of mine.As always, keep the instruction book, as it contains information about how to order replacement batteries for this unit.

Excellent, Dependable UPS!
This UPS is a reliable workhorse! I’ve got a few of these managing power to my servers, and I’ve not had any issues with them at all, despite several power outages and drops. I always hear the relay click over immediately (from mains to battery), and once the power comes back on reliably, I hear it again as it switches back to mains power. The display and buttons are rather intuitive, and it just looks nice overall. Recommended!

A great replacement for my previous UPS
This UPS works well, and is a good upgrade to my previous UPS device (which strangely never started again after carefully I changed out the then-current battery for the brand-new replacement, no matter how closely I followed the manufacturer’s advice). This CyberPower unit has a couple more power sockets then the deceased APC unit, and has a surge suppressor for Ethernet cable, which is more important to me than the ‘phone wiring surge suppressor in the old unit. There’s also a USB port (and included cable) that lets me connect the UPS to a USB connector on my main computer, and without installing any software a control panel lets me adjust the parameters for computer and/or display sleep under mains power vs. battery power. The front-panel screen is easy to use, although I haven’t bothered to make changes to the more advanced features yet. Apparently I’m drawing so little power from it (although I have at least 18 devices powered by it) that the display shows a power draw of zero watts / zero load and a runtime on battery of 450 minutes. Clearly that can’t be completely accurate, but it’s good to know that I’ve got a reasonable uptime figure on the battery-backed outputs.I chose this model partly because the taller/slimmer form factor is a good fit for where I placed it (where its predecessor was), on the inner floor of a desk cabinet with floor-to-desk height. There’s enough airflow (I added a fan long ago), even with the door to the cabinet mostly closed. I tend to leave the equipment it’s connected to turned on, and most of it goes into low-power mode after a period of inactivity. Although the UPS’s display is set to dim after a while, the UPS isn’t really going into sleep mode, which I gather would starve some of my active gear of power and cause abrupt shut-downs for the computing devices, so I’m leaving it that way. I haven’t needed to contact the company’s tech support folks, and I hope I never need to.I hope that this unit lasts a good long while, and won’t expire when the battery needs to be changed. I have an older/smaller CyberPower unit, for which the recent battery change went flawlessly. So far so good, and I hope it stays good.

Looks great and works well. My old one (same make but with less power) recently died of old age and I find battery backup essential to preserving my computer, monitor and other computer related items. Every time we had a power surge I would lose a monitor. Every time the power went off I had computer files corrupted. Since using these the last several years I haven’t had a problem or lost a computer related item. Great product and well worth the money.
