Compact and easy to sideload
I love the size and weight of the the Pocketbook Verse models – fits in the hand very comfortably and the buttons are in a great location for page turning.The new color layer dims the screen a bit but can be worked around once you turn on the frontlight. Color makes the covers pop and color images in some of the books I read looks great. Everyone has their own opinions on the color vs. b&w contrast but I personally don’t mind it that much.Pocketbook’s built in store is pretty useless if you’re in the US – it is one of the first things I moved off the quick access bar. However, the system is practically built for sideloading so purchasing epubs from Kobo/Google Play Books/Barnes and Noble/Etc and easily transfer them over with a computer or via email with Send-To-Pocketbook. Another bonus is that this model has usb-C OTG capabilities so the 16gb isn’t that much of a limitation as long as you have a flash drive. The black and white Verse Pro does not have this capability.I also love how Pocketbook allows you to look directly at your folder structure so organization can be as simple as creating folders/subfolders on the computer and drag/dropping everything into place.Edit: Added photos to compare the screen of the Verse Pro to Verse Pro Color (Verse Pro Color on the right in the photos). First photo has no backlight on, second is with the Verse Pro Color’s backlight on about 33%.

PRetty good overall
There is a tradeoff in brightness and crispness for a color screen but this one isn’t really too bad unless you place it side by side with a mono screen. Buttons aren’t too intuitive. For example I have to hit the right button twice slowly to put reader in sleep mode. It is nice to have a couple apps on this such as chess and solitaire and suduko. Overall sadisfied.

En la foto que adjunto se puede ver a la izquierda la pantalla del antiguo lector electrónico Pocketbook Modelo PB633 Kaleido 1 que tiene la pantalla blanca y mejor que el nuevo modelo PB634K3 Kaleido 3 a la derecha con la pantalla que tiende mucho al color rojo. incluso con la temperatura de color establecida en cero. Me sentà muy muy decepcionado. Los nuevos modelos Kobo Color Kaleido 3 también son mejores en la definición del color.

Nothing like the KINDLE!
I liked the compact size and the muted colors. I disliked everything else. It does not accommodate Kindle format, syncing failed every time, moving PDF files into it was cumbersome. There was no logical filing system. Books for it must be purchased from a dedicated website, they are mostly German titles, with few and rather unknown ones in English. I stepped outside my trusted Kindle universe for the first time and regretted it. Built quality was very good, but using it was a nightmare. Had to send it back.

This ereader is a great size for packing around in your bag, its super lightweight and small but more than large enough to be comfortable to use. I love that the back has a textured feel to it as well, its not slippery and looks really nice.Pocketbook’s included store is almost completely useless if you live in the US. Its intended for use in Germany, most books are in German and many cannot be ordered in this country even if you want to. This is fine for me though as I both speak German and I mostly intend to sideload from other stores. This system is VERY easy to sideload through multiple means.The only real issue is the screen. The eink screen is something I am admittedly not used to so perhaps I just need to get used to it. The refresh rate is bizarre, although its adjustable it does this thing where it flashes black at each page turn and does not load images well. It also lags a lot. This is fairly annoying. It seems to be based mostly around the “color eink” as most eink screens do not do this to this degree.I do really like the adjustability of the screen and personalization options. The buttons are in a really nice place. The whole thing is very ergonomically comfortable.I like this unit, its such a nice size and so easy to use. I would likely order a non-color version above this though, what with the weird screen issues.

El mejor lector para leerse en mi opinión.No pesa, pequeño y cabe en una mano y el una chamarra y acepta muchos formatos incluidos cómics, por lo que aunque no puedas comprar con ellos por derechos etc. tú puedes subir tus archivo incluyendo cómics.También la dicción y velocidad de texto a voz es la mejor que es escuchado.Las 4 estrellas son porque al principio cambiar de página era muy complicado, pero al ponerle su protector no se si por la presión o que se solucionó.La segunda razón para las 4 es que no tiene traductor para frases o párrafos enteros. En eso kindle con Bloomberg se lo lleva de calle.Otro punto que a mà no me afecta porque subo mis archivos, creo fuera de Europa no puedes comprar libros con ellos. Petite liseuse qui se glisse facilement dans son sac. Pour le prix, les couleurs de l’écran me conviennent très bien. J’aime pouvoir transférer des livres empruntés à la bibliothèque vers la liseuse avec mon téléphone. C’est vraiment pratique!

Small, so easy to have it everywhere with you.Is very easy to sideload books and doesn’t push you to buy from their store.Has some extra goodies like text to speech for books, audio books, has a music player so you add songs and read a book, and has a few games (klondike, sudoku, chess, scribble and coloring) as well as rss news (i did not have much luck reading news there tbh)It has a browser, Dropbox pocketbook and send to pocketbook.The colours are nice and soft (on eink i would say they look more like a newspaper than an lcd screen) and I enjoy seeing my covers with colour :)I installed koreader, added a few custom dictionaries and a watch while reading and I am set hahP.s. the Bluetooth works well with my bt headset, but with the BT earbuds it would sometimes disconnect, not sure why (maybe I had to unpair them from other devices)100% recommend anyone to buy it that wants to sideload books

Switched from the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (11th gen) with its 6.8″ screen and now Iâm enjoying how light the 6″ Pocketbook feels! The physical buttons are so comfortable to use also. Great quality at an affordable, fair price!
