Reasonably good chromebook, the flip feature is a slightly less than perfect but still good
My first chromebook and my first laptop/tablet hybrid.First, the good — the chromebook works as you want it to, powers off of a USB, is very light, has a good screen, good technical performance. It synced well with my Samsung phone, with no issues. Love the touch screen.The medium — tablet mode is cool, the stylus works well, but having the keyboard exposed as the bottom of the “tablet” feels really strange. It would be better if the keyboard or screen were simply detachable, or if the screen would flip in a way that doesn’t have the keyboard on the bottom. I really expect it to get damaged if I use this feature much in the future.The bad — not really noticing anything bad to be honest. It’s a chromebook so you know it can do less than a traditional laptop when you purchase it. But what it does it does well.

This Chromebook is fast with a great display for watching videos or browsing. (I don’t really use it for gaming so can’t speak to performance there.) The screen is nice and bright but super reflective so glare is somewhat of a problem. That’s really the only downside though, overall very happy with it.

DO NOT PURCHASE – MODEL NOT AVAIL – FALSE ADVERTISING
CP714-1WN-53M9 is the model you are ordering, but it is NOT the model you will get. They will send you CP714-2W-56B2, which does NOT come with a built in slot for a stylus and does not come with a mouse. Looking at the acer website comparing the two on specs, they are slightly different as well. I called acer directly to ask about this and they confirmed that the 53M9 was not being sold in the US or Canada (no stock at all, as of 8/26/2024 and no plans to make avail) and that there currently is not a comparable model acer chromebook that comes with a stylus. NOW, if you purchase this with the expectation that you’ll be getting the 56B2, it’s not a terrible price, but that’s something you should know BEFORE ordering. This listing needs to be corrected or removed.

Love this laptop for travelling
I wanted something that would work as a personal laptop or a tablet and this Laptop covers it. Whether i am working in sheets or watching a movie this baby works. i love to make it tablet for on my flights i just flipped over the keyboard and it becomes it’s own stand. Or flip it back and it use it to do my bills.

The touch screen and resolution is great. Nice quality case and ports designed the way I would, you have a charge port on both the left or right, your choice. There is a stylus that hides neatly into the case which is a great feature as it’s always there when you need it. I like the convertible feature best, it’s a laptop, then fold the screen over 180 and it’s a tablet. You can do a tent position to watch movies. It has 8gb video ram, 256 SSD hard drive, WiFi 6E, and a backlit keyboard. It’s a good value and the display is very crisp. The OS is a little something for me to get used to but I look forward to that and seems part of the fun to me. Fast shipping

So far, the Intel Core i5-1235U is handling multitasking and more demanding applications smoothly. The 360-degree hinge makes changing modes effortlessâa vibrant, high-quality touchscreen display. Robust aluminum chassis and military-grade durability testing should mean rugged. The advertised 12-hour battery life seems right; I had it running all day with juice to spare.As advertised and pictured. Nice value.
