Consuming from Colorado –
Great device with room to grow
Out of the box there are dozens if not hundreds of games built in. But research this product number on YouTube and you’ll soon find yourself in a rabbit hole of all the software upgrades you can do, including replacing the software entirely with something like MuOS. This specific device is VERY well received by the enthusiast community so I’m fortunate to have made it my choice – BUT that said, these come out SO FAST now in all shapes and sizes, so really the big decision for you to make is which form factor are you most nostalgic for? This is obviously a DS clone but there are many, many others including ones with thumbsticks. Huge benefit to this of course is you can toss it into a bag without worrying about the screen at all.

Very nice. Well made. Not the best emulator console but not the worse either. The graphics are great. Audio is great. The older games I play there is more than enough speed to run them. On the portrait oriented games I play. The proportions are correct making it easier to play and they added pillars to each side of the game with art that might have been on the original arcade game. That’s nice. Good battery life. The older games I play are exactly right – not an overseas version. I’ve seen some pretty weird versions of games on some other emulators. Has two SD slots. Has a port to connect to the TV so you can really see what you’re playing. I’m used to a wider screen and having my hands a bit further apart. Best feature is the ability to save states. You can save a lot of them. You can just start again at your last saved point quickly and try again. If you lose the ability to Load States randomly as your working through a game then Save State again and you’ll have it back – but only to where you just saved it. You can shut the lid and come right back to where you were with save states.

The Anbernic RG35XXSP is any NDS fans dream-come-true. It is well made, with good, clicky-buttons and a clear IPS screen that I can see outside in indirect lighting. As well, the sound is clear, without that tin-sound you get from some inexpensive handhelds. It is very well made and comfortable to use.Charging doesn’t take more than an hour and you’ll get about 4-5 hours of play from it. It is missing SFC, FC and GB games, but has other games from other publishers and you can add whatever games you want to it.All-in-all, while not often true with these types of items, you are getting one well made device that is one I will recommend to friends and family.

Impressed!
This thing has a very impressive battery life, and a LOT of games out of the box but very easy to load roms (the SD card it comes with has about 44gb of space available with everything else on it, with a second SD card slot available for even more files). Well-built, and it comes with an easy to install screen protector! I haven’t noticed any real performance issues and I’ve spent about the whole day playing P0k3m0n ROMs on it. It might struggle a little bit with high-intensity PSX games but I haven’t played enough to judge.
