Umidigi G1 Punches Above Its Weight!!!
Most people will consider the Umidigi G1 as a low-end phone based on the price and list of specs. However, after spending 2 weeks with the G1, the phone performed admirably when compared to my existing Pixel 6.Positives:- The screen is sharp and bright. I do not have any problems watching videos or navigating through apps outside in bright daylight. I would actually turn down the brightness while indoors.- There are only 2 back cameras, but the photos come out clear and better than expected. However, do not expect professional quality photos. The photos are perfect for posting to social media and video if fine for sharing with family and friends.- The front camera works great for selfies and even has face-unlock. I even used a selfie from the G1 as my headshot profile photo on one of the social media apps.- Amazingly, the battery consistently lasted over 2 days of regular use. This included playing games (non-graphics intensive games), posting to social media, making calls, texting and taking photos.- Conveniently, the G1 comes with a usb-c cable and power adapter. Higher-end phones now do not even come with an adapter.- There are 2 sim card slots, so you can easily have 2 unique phone numbers.- The G1 comes with a headphone jack…enough said. :-)Negatives:- The G1 does not support 5G. The unlocked phone supports all the 4G bands and works great with T-Mobile in the USA.- Multi-tasking can slow down performance since the phone only has 2GB memory.- Internal storage is limited to 32GB. However, you can expand storage by using a 256GB microSD card.Overall, if you are on a budget, I would highly recommend this $100 phone. The G1 would also make a great first phone for young kids / pre-teens.

Great Features In A Budget Price!
Umidigi packs a lot of features into this budget phone. While it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, it does have face recognition. The battery life is very good easily lasting up to 2 days.With the AndroidGO OS, it allows for ample storage space. The AndroidGO does take a little getting used to. While it takes up smaller storage space, it is chunky on the screen and takes up way more screen real estate than it’s daddy.The screen is crisp and bright, and the size of this phone feels just right in the hand. It is not too big or heavy. It comes out of the box unlocked for all major networks. Umidigi also adds a screen and case protector which is an added bonus.Overall, a great, minimalistic phone that is friendly to the budget.

It doesnât work
I bought this as a cheap phone for Christmas but it doesnât stay on for more than 5 minutes before crashing and requiring a factory resetâ¦Canât even rate the other features of the phone because it crashes before I can try to review them.Really disappointed wasted my money trying to get an affordable phone. Iâd recommend just save up and get a more reputable brand.

Value for price, features and performance
The first thing that catches your eye is the price. A $99 phone, how good could that be? You’ll be surprised at the performance of not only the phone but the camera too!Jumping into this phone the first thing I did was the System Update. Takes just a few minutes to download and install the latest update from Umidigi.The next thing I did was admire the body style. It’s surprisingly well built and designed for a budget phone. It feels so sturdy in your hands, it’s not all glass like most phones (which by the way shatter with the slightest drop). The body fits snug in your hand, isn’t slippery and has a beautiful matte finish on the back. I opted to keep the rubber case on for additional protection but it does look a lot better without the case as the back sparklers like the night sky.Moving through screens is a breeze, no lag at all. It has such a fluid feel to the phone, bouncing through apps and menus. Again, pleasantly surprised for a $99 phone.The camera I didn’t have high hopes for because normally “you get what you pay for”. But the pictures are crisp and clear. Better then my current phone which says it’s sporting a 48MP camera but doesn’t focus as well and doesn’t take the same quality pictures and videos.Battery life is very good for all your day to day needs, toss in some gaming as well and it still doesn’t break a sweat.

Inexpensive smartphone
This is a rather inexpensive phone, to sum it up.. it works, decent battery and does the basics. Donât expect a flawless smooth running machine. The phone was glitchy during the set up and has not gotten much better. I like that it comes with a screen protector and case installed and has a headphone port.

Basic phone with premium feel
Let’s start with the positive aspects: Phone is beautiful. I love the style, and overall it looks sturdy and has a premium feeling. The screen is nice and bright, and the camera takes nice pictures for being in the low price range. Battery is also a great selling point.It supports most global LTE bands and has a dual SIM slot, meaning that you can use it pretty much anywhere in the world.On the bad note this is a very slow phone and you should not be expecting to be able to play games on it, use it for navigation, or install tons of apps. It can be used for making and receiving calls, text, email, basic internet browsing, and taking some pictures. if you are planning on using it for social media, or other resource intensive apps this phone is not the right one for you. If you can spend a little more I would recommend going with a phone with at least 4gb of ram and 128 gb of memory, like the umidigi F3 that has great specifications but is still affordable.

This is a great phone overall for its price. it is pretty slow at first but once you start using it more it will get faster. This is a great choice for a first phone. It doesn’t have much storage but that can easily be fixed by purchasing a Micro SD card. I would recommend getting a 128 GB Micro SD card for around 20 dollars. It comes with a clear silicone case and a pre-installed screen protector.

Unnecessary system notifications interrupt me at any time of day or night, and Umidigi has been unable to correct the problem. Notification dots for email and text apps have never functioned on this phone, despite this option being turned on in Settings. Gmail app has been freezing lately. Umidigi’s solution to these problems? … They advised me to buy a more expensive Umidigi phone!!! (At my expense)
