Nice motherboard
MSI’s PRO series has consistently performed well, offering excellent value at an affordable price. I previously bought the PRO Z690-A, which was one of the best motherboards supporting DDR5 at its price point at the time. So this time, I chose the same series to build a work PC for my wife, who is a fashion designer. She really loves the simple look of the silver heatsink. and the boot speed and memory compatibility are a huge improvement over the B650 motherboard from another brand that I had. The USB port speed is also excellent, and they haven’t cut costs in those subtle areas, which is very important for a work computer. Overall, it was a pleasant purchasing experience.

Great motherboard for my new 9800x3d build
I had my eye on this motherboard for weeks anticipating the new Ryzen 9800x3d CPU to be released. I was disappointed when on launch day the new 9800x3d was sold out online. I went to my Local MicroCenter and got my hands on 9800x3D. I ended up ordering this Motherboard from Amazon instead of Microcenter for next day shipping since I had a bunch of Amazon Giftcards saved up for this build. This motherbaord is good and supports the new Ryzen with a bios update. So far I am enjoying it.

Solid Motherboard
Iâve recently helped my friend build a new PC, and before giving it to him, I figured I could test-pilot it for a couple of days to make sure everything runs as intended. The X870P motherboard has been great in terms of performance and versatility. I used a Ryzen 9700X for the build, and there were SDRAM slots to bump the memory up. Connectivity wise, the board provides a lot of IOs, so unless you have like 10 USB devices at once, youâll most definitely be fine. The build has been running smoothly so far, we downloaded and played Wukon on it briefly and itâs been lovely! And imo, not really a fan of the antennaâs appearance, but it does the job.

Linus users note…
If using Linux, just know that the wired network driver is in the latest mainline kernel, but hasn’t trickled down into any distro yet. Also, couldn’t get my 128 gb ram to run faster than 3200 MHz. Cutting down to 64 gb got me up to 4800 mhz, which isn’t even native. XMP settings are all a no go.

New x870 chipset
So finally a chipset that supports ryzen 9000 series. I love having AI control my desktop while providing optimal settings. My ryzen 9 7900x 4.7ghz is pushing 5.8 atm believe it or not. Thing is amazing woukd easily buy again. Done with asus rog and strix the whole lot of em. Had a b650e-f and it died after 2 years

WIFI DOES NOT WORK
Everything works except WiFi . Tried every fix I could find but nothing worked. Now I have to deal with the hassle of taking my new build apart to send it back 🙁

Works as advertised, with a minor issue
I have a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, the only issue I had with this board was getting the bios to talk to my CPU. I had to flash the bios with the latest software. It can run 128 GB DDR5 RAM at 6000 MT/s, just takes some research and patience to get the settings right.
