Great Computer For the Elderly
My mom (over 60) needed a computer to pay bills on, and she was worried about virus protection. I figured a Chromebook would be a perfect fit for her, and she has enjoyed it a lot so far. The screen is very clear and bright so itâs easy for her to see. It only took me like 15 minutes to set it up for her, aside from the typical hiccups that come with setting up things for the elderly. (I love you mom but itâs true!)It arrived in great condition, it looks very sleek, and itâs not some monster of a laptop that sounds like a jet engine when you turn it on. I truly cannot speak to anything else when it comes to the function – it visits the electric company website perfectly. But for someone who has no desire to deal with paying bills on a smartphone screen, this is a value that cannot be beat – ESPECIALLY for someone with a fixed income. This didnât break the bank, and I can trust that thereâs no way my mom could accidentally delete System 32, so I am pleased.

Got for my stepdad as a replacement to his old HP that broke.
I really got him this because it’s cheap and does what he needs (web browsing). I set it up for him initally, and he’s put it through the paces in the year and a half he’s had it. It’s got a ton of dirt and debris, from him eating on it and taking it outside to watch his nascar races as he smokes his cigarettes. It’s taken the beating and abuse so far so that’s cool. I can say he’ll probably get 3-4 years out of it before he gets another one, and before it becomes obsolete, but it’s great for now and does what he needs.We did have some issues getting it connect to a wireless printer, but updating it and powercycling it fixed that. Albeit, if you don’t know how to troubleshoot, many people might give up. This isn’t specific to this brand, but the the Chrome/Google OS in general. I sometimes think an iPad would’ve been better for him, and I think that’s what’ll want next. He was a laptop user his entire life, and as long as he can play his words with friends, smacktalk on facebook, and watch youtube videos and browse fourms. He’s happy. It does it snappy enough for him to not complain. It’s worth a buy for the price.

Power charger is the HDMI out-put as well.
A good little machine. If you just want to use it to surf the internet and that sort of thing, can’t beat the price. I knew the screen wasn’t going to be the best before i bought it, and in fairness the images are a little flat, but again I just use it as an internet surfer platform. HOWEVER,…, what i wish I did know before i bought it, and would have been a reason why i WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT is the ports available. It DOES NOT have an HDMI port, only the mini port which is how you charge it. So i would also use my Chrome book to watch streaming on my TV, connecting it to my larger TV, to do so i had to buy an adapter to plug in a full size HDMI into the mini, but in doing so you CANNOT charge it, so if you are watching a movie, or anything you have to run off battery power, it will always have enough to get you through a movie, but the stress of watching the batter life slowly march down to zero really plays on my anxiety. Further there is only one USB port, so if you have a cordless mouse plugged in you can’t plug in any other USB, example, if you want to download from your phone you have to unplug the cordless mouse, which drives me nuts. But do note that it has bluetooth capabilities so you can always get a blue tooth mouse to solve that problem, I’m just not tech savy enough to pull that off. in the end the lack of a full size HDMI AND also a charger would make me buy a different machine, but i already have it, and i make it work, stress and all when running it off battery at my work station or TV. Just something i wish i had looked into more before i bought it. Hope that helps. Also there isn’t a ‘Delete’ button, why ?

Good buy for the price point
This is nice for the price. It does not have the greatest screen for movies, but it gets the job done. I purchased simply to learn to type and it gets the job done. The volumn is low when watching media, but I suppose I could wear earbuds. Haven’t tried that yet. I have not noticed any lag in responsiveness or any real problems. Considering the price, it’s a nice little machine. Charges pretty fast too with the included charger.

Excellent laptop for under $300
I am writing this based on the fact that this cost $234. I see many reviews here complaining about the screen. Remember what you have purchased. This laptop is fast, light and well made. There is even a good amount of storage for a personal computer. Yes, the screen is not as vivid as a $1000 computer, if that is very important to you, buy a more expensive laptop. For those who need to use email, browse the web, stream etc. you can not go wrong with this. There is one USB port and one USB C port. There are inexpensive attachments if you need hdmi or more ports. I highly recommend this chromebook.

WOW What a POS
lol I know you might be thinking, “i have low standards, I just want something cheap and the Amazon reviews say it’s…okayyyy.” Don’t do it.(1) Screen quality – which I did not care about at all – is equivalent to a first generation Game Boy. If you know what that is, you know that sucks. If you are too young to know, holy smokes this screen will shock you to your very core.(2) Doesn’t properly DO ANYTHING – I bought this for 2 reasons: (1) to type stuff, (2) stream videos.Regarding 1:Wouldn’t download word, wouldn’t allow copy/paste, etc. I said “ok, I am low maintenance, I will just use Google Docs.” Nope. That didn’t work either lolllRegarding 2:Wouldn’t allow me to sign in to any video streaming except Hulu. Man this thing is a POS.

Es muy bien producto pero debes de tener muy clara tu expectativa : si quieres algo de alto rendimiento entonces no es lo que buscas, si buscas algo para tareas básicas está excelente, muy buena duración de baterÃa, portabilidad, compatibilidad, muy bien en general. Incluso para programar puede ser buena si utilizas editores remotos para que el procesamiento no esté en esta máquina y disfrutar de los atributos en los que destaca.Para un pequeño negocio también está muy bien, puedes instalar apps de Android como WhatsApp personal y business, entre otras aplicaciones de oficina.

I recently bought 2 of these for my teenagers. They are replacements for larger chromebooks. They’re quite happy with them. I was happy with the price. Hopefully we get at least 2 years out of them.

This particular Chromebook from Amazon was best offer I found fromAll other major competitors and similar models or chromebooks. Im more than pleased with it. Is a perfect size, feels well made and durable in my hands. I can take it everywhere easily without Needing to handle it very delicately because itâs fragile and flimsy. Feels rugged enough and durable to just grab and go. It doesnât look cheap or tacky either. Sheen and Color are nice and with chic minimalist Aesthetic. Itâs also got added versatility of dual input options with a standard USB port on one side for storage devices and the newer more common type C port on the other. Only things to knitpick is lack of backlight on keyboard and screen is not as dense or vivid and picture isnât as sharp crisp, clear as expensive laptops and Macs. I was impressed right out of box so pretty sure Itâll stand test of time enough to not regret buying.
