Awesome handheld
This is a hobbyist’s dream. The buttons feel very nice and I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m not sure how I feel about the analog joystick placement, but haven’t used it extensively yet. The older version of this had the analog sticks on top and the D-pad and buttons on the bottom, but I never used that version. It also comes with a nice case.I think they’re trying to get away from providing game packages like some other versions of this to get around copywrite concerns, but there are a bunch of included games for testing and can be used as it is. This is best suited for someone who wants to rebuild the system using their own ROMs, and isn’t something ideal for people who aren’t tech savvy and children. There are plenty of guides and resources available to help set this up. I’m not sure that this particular version would be the best for people who don’t intend to teak the setup themselves, and it may be better to find one with all the games included and ready to go. I do recommend this, it’s a great piece of hardware.

It will play close to all your favourite classics. Super pocketable. Great battery life and build quality. Super fun to have with you and play and that bright little screen. I’ll upload a video soon.

The R36S is very compact with a nice 3.5″ IPS screen. The Fingerevo version comes with a screen protector, wired headphones and more importantly a storage case and instruction manual.The build is nice albeit a bit cheap but this is a very affordable console so you cannot expect much. The USB C charging port is a bit wobbly, the front/face buttons are okay and the D-pad, although not the best is quite acceptable. The two joysticks are smaller than those of a Nintendo Switch Lite but ok anyway since you won’t be using them much. The back/shoulder buttons are, in my opinion, better than the ones on the very similar K36 console as they are much less loud. The screen, although small, is very vibrant. There is a LED light that is way too bright when you are playing in the dark and it’s right in the middle of the console. It’s really blinding and you cannot turn it off. I would recommend avoiding the transparent versions of this console because the clear plastic makes it much worse than on the white version.The console comes with some pre-loaded games from Atari 2600 all the way to PSP. You won’t find any games from the big N but a quick research on Google and YouTube and you will be set. These consoles are very popular so you will find a lot of resources to help you. I would not recommend this if you are not tech savvy at all but if you are willing and feel nostalgic of 80s, 90s and 2000s gaming, this is really great. I find that this R36S handles PSP games much better than the K36. That said the K36 feels a bit beginner-friendlier. No matter which one you choose, you can’t go wrong.
