Not for some cases…
This is a great quality product from well-known reputable company, a PSU with great modularity and great performance, and frankly a good value. Lots of connectors and on the shift model, if that’s what you’re looking at side mounted connection points. Here’s where the details come in. Is this PSU is primarily for cases with side mounted PSU slots, while in a wider case this might work in a flat mount situation, most likely you are going to need a fairly wide case to house the wiring coming off the supply without bending the wires too much. Even then in some side mount cases, or the PSU is mounted on its side, the wires sticking upright can still impede on certain things, for example with the Lian-Li o11 dynamic XL, The upright facing ports for the connectors on the wires to plug into impede with the bottom hot swap hard drive bay. Now if I really wanted to press the wires down flat against the power supply unit I could probably still fit the hot swap bay in the case, but it wouldn’t give much room for the wires, nor allow for much passive heat dissipation from the PSU. In this particular instance with the case I chose a standard end connector output PSU would have been the better choice, as there is ample room at the end for wiring clutter, but due to the hot swap bay mounted above the power supply unit, the side output of the shift model is not intuitive for my case.Removal of the bottom hot swap bay in my case alleviated the issue, but also presents the inconvenience of not having all four hot swap bays available. I never thought I would use this feature, but over the years as I have acquired multiple hard drives and stored up massive amounts of data, it actually comes in handy for moving data back and forth between drives. So no stars docked for the design it’s actually great, just really think about whether or not you need the side output connectors and whether or not you will have enough room in your case. They make it more convenient to plug and unplug additional wires without having to remove the power supply unit completely, however you may run into spacing issues in smaller cases.Situationally recommended.

Excellent choice if you have a correctly sized case
So far this has been an excellent power supply, The shifted cable input position is very useful for keeping cables clean and organized, but please be aware you will need enough space between the PSU and back panel. For reference, I am using a Lian Li Lancool III and there is just enough room for the cable to rest securely without being pinched. This is also a very quiet unit, and is not audible to me from a few feet away. The provided power cables are not too stiff and feel sturdy and the unit comes with a very beefy supply cable, which I highly recommend that you use.

Great PSU
Corsair makes some of the best computer parts around. Easy to install, and the ability of being able to not have to stuff the extra unused cables in the case.

Great quality PSU
Love this unit and the side cable inputs. It makes for a much cleaner setup inside the case. No issues with the PSU at all, it is super quiet and does the job well. My only minor complaint is I wish the cables were braided. The prices for nicely braided cable extensions is a bit much, I would have expected a higher end PSU to include them out of the box.

Works, stable, silent – side mount nice – 4080/90 connector included
Does what it should. Powerful PC with lots of connections and 100% stable (as to be expected). Very silent. Side mounted cables are nice but not as trouble-free as I had expected. Its still a tight fit when you have a lot of cables and I did need a special connector to make ends meet. I am still sold to the side mount idea and if you have less stuff than I (the 98% will) it will be a huge advantage in cable management. Finally this comes with the special connector for the 4080/90, so no worry about melting plastic. [got the cheaper “as new” version – and mine was actually “new”]

Works great if you actually get it new
First of all, this is probably an excellent product if you can actually get one sent to you in new condition. I suspect it’s Amazon sending me these used products as new and not Corsair. I’ll change my review score if I can actually get one that’s new and works. It’s the last piece of the puzzle to actually get the rest of my PC build working.I paid for a new product and got a used one. No shrink wrap, and the cable bag was already torn open. All the cables were in there (except the most important one) plus two type 4 connectors that can’t even connect to the PSU’s type 5’s — my guess is that the previous owner just stuck them in there on return. Fan has some scuff marks on it, but that’s no big deal. The worst part though is that there was no power cable to even connect the PSU to the surge protector or wall. Even if I did buy this used I’d have no way to test it.Fortunately returns are easy and free on these things and I am a Prime member, but it’s still ridiculous. This is the second power supply in a row I’ve had to return (the first one was actually new, but it was DOA and even the paperclip trick couldn’t get the fan to spin). It’s almost like they’re fishing to get some money on restock fees to pin the blame on me or something.EDIT 7/31/2023Changing my one star review to four and still dinging a star for all the trouble it took to get this product new from Amazon. It works great — feeds 3 PCIE plugs straight into my GPU. Thanks to the plugs being on the side of the PSU I have room for another fan where the cables would have come out from any other power supply. The only downside to the usual way the plugs face is that it gets really crowded on the side with the plugs and cables need to turn abruptly to reach their destinations straight out of the PSU. It’s not a problem for my PC case, but it could be for others.

S tier PSU no doubt
Easy to connect, has stiff wires, Donât cheap out on PSU thatâs what they said. I agree, PC runs smooth using this PSU. For its size you really need an ATX size case for this psu to manage its stiff wires. Design is sleek and loved the miniature size compared to other psu. Power efficient psu, fan works well by adjusting its rpm on psu temps. Overall its a great value for money.

I buy mostly Corsair PSU for my PCs, have multiple unit of RMx. Although these are great, the capacitor in the main ATX cable, ATX12V and PCIe cables make them very difficult to route thru casing. And recently one of the 24pin cable is causing my system to reboot periodically, quite certain it was the capacitor as after I change the cable, everything goes well. This is the PSU I bought the replace the old RM650x. The cables has tiny connectors at PSU end and no capacitor. comes with new ATX 3.1 12V-2Ã6 connector for newer GPU, a PCIe cable with 2x 8 pin and a cable with only one 8 pin connector–great for low power GPU and make casing more pleasing/tidy without dangling 8 pin connector. All modular cables are ribbon type, easier to route than older rounded sleeved type. I like it so much I bought two, only con is casing compatibility. If the casing doesn’t have a opening on the side, theres no way to connect the cable, period.
