Nice fit for any vehicle, especially the Mazda
I needed a solution for our Mazda. If you have one, you know there aren’t many good places to mount a phone without blocking access or the view of something else. One of the ideal spots is in fact right in front of the vent.I’ve tried vent clips before and had mixed results, mostly med or poor. But I saw the mechanism with this vent clip where you place it first, then tighten slowly until everything tightens up. The mount clip spans 3 vent slats, and the cushion / pad tightens down nicely and firmly.In the Mazda, the convenience 12v outlet is low on the passenger side, which makes it a little out of the way to go fishing for the cable each time you get in the car. With this wireless mount, no longer an issue. connected the wire and tucked it in a bit, out of the way and that’s it.As far as the charging mount itself, well, I picked it for it’s low profile design, and clean lines, and it doesn’t disappoint. Looks great, quite stable, rotates to landscape and back as needed, no problem.The mechanism itself does it’s job. I’ve had automatic clamping mounts before, and thought they were a little slow. Not this one, this closes almost instantly, and releases when you push the button. You can push the button on either side. Once you get used to the button’s location, pressing it just becomes part of your natural motion to grab the phone.I was also worried about how difficult it would be to remove the phone after turning off the car (no power). This would have been a deal breaker for me, but thankfully not an issue- the mechanism retains some power and operates normally even when the car is off. Must be a battery in there. I don’t know for how long or how many times it will open and close without being plugged in, but I did it 4 times, which is 3 more than I’ve needed since.Finally, I used the included USB-c cable to connect the mount, and I get Fast Wireless Charging each time I place my Samsung S23, with its fairly sturdy (2mm thick) case, in the mount.So- after about two weeks of daily use- I realized I love this charging mount, so much so that I decided to take some pics and write a review. Highly recommend.

Fantastic, but not long lived
This thing is AWESOME! Exactly what I have been looking for. Great for long trips if you use your phone for GPS, and makes it easy to keep your phone charged when you get in and out.Never had an issue with the phone falling out of the cradle, it grips it just right.Charged through my case with no problems.Only problem is that almost one year later it is no longer sensing my phone very well, causing it to take longer to grip, and intermittently charging. I’ll need to get it replaced, I might just buy another one of these!

Works as described, Slow charge, not super tight in vent
Does what i want it to do with extra benefit of trickle charge. Kinda cool how it opens and closes by itself. Barely fits my Galaxy s23ultra. You have to tighten the clamp into the vent every couple of days, it’s not a very tight lock unfortunately.
