Perfect game console
I was so excited to get the RG40XX H console as I’m an old user of RG351.I find myself enjoying a lot with a horizontal 4″ screen with much better brightness than before to play my favorite game Crash Team Racing for PS1 and some Nintendo games… You can now read the text clearly in the games and play outdoors.The build quality is very good with a lightweight and compact size to take it with you everywhere, and you will get 5 hours on average to play your favorite games.Now the D-Pad is very smooth so you will get a better shooting games experience, especially with a bigger screen. Also, adding any game is easy just grab it to your SD card.This is my best friend for traveling.

lcd failed day 1 and looks like it was open box
lcd failed day 1 and looks like it was open box.this is completely unacceptable for a brand new device. the screen just started ghosting as soon as i began to actually play it.I dont care if the unit came with no games, even of it didnt even have the sd card, but a complete screen failure day one out of the box. Seem like Anbernic is believing their own hype if it is actually a new device…..

Awesome psp like gaming device
I have been playing all types of games on this little guy. Mostly playing arcade games but can run up to psp games and everything else before. Feels sturdy and the battery last a while.

Good value
This is a great value for a handheld to play your favorite emulated games. The build quality on this is surprisingly way better than I imagined for the price. Everything works perfectly and the screen is nicer quality than expected. The reason I took some points off is the battery life is atrocious. Maybe it’s just the one I got but playing a game with the brightness and sound turned down for 10 minutes, saw a 9% drain on the battery playing a not-so-demanding game. I’m not sure how they estimate it up to 6 hours of play time on this. The rate I was seeing with low brightness it would be an hour and a half. Cranking the brightness up will essentially cut that in half. It works great for my kids when I allow them to play games for 20 or 30 minutes at a time.

Great handheld gaming device
Had game boy shaped one but it was a bit bad ergonomically so i was shopping for a new one. This popped up and had a better screen and processor for the price. Its so much better to hold and leads to a longer playtime. Thanks to the upgraded internals, this also plays games much smoother. It feels like its built pretty well too, the wifi and bluetooth connectivity make it so much easier to get roms.

One memory card
This is supposed to ship with two memory cards. Iâve had to order three so far. Iâm waiting for my third now. The first two only came with one memory card and only half the games. No Super Nintendo. No regular Nintendo. I hope this third one comes as advertised

Bigger screen, better buttons and egornomics
Been playing with this handheld for over a week now, and has been pleased with the larger screen, and the controls. I had a RG35xx Plus before, and have been looking to upgrade to something with analogue sticks for better compatibility with more games. This RG40XX exceed that need, by providing better comfort and bigger screen. To squeeze performance out of these handhelds, expect to learn about using the more advanced features, custom firmware, ports, and finding your own games. Battery lasted 5+ hrs no issues.

Does not come with any GB games
This does not come with any Nintendo game boy games as I thought. Also a recent review from 10/09/24 shows a game I do not have which is Mario . Very disappointed
