On Friday, the MP Rupert Lowe criticised Nigel Farage in an interview with the Day by day Mail, saying Reform UK was a “protest celebration led by the Messiah”, and that it was “too early to know whether or not Nigel will ship the products” and turn out to be prime minister.
The subsequent day, Lowe was suspended by the celebration. Reform UK revealed a press release making a sequence of allegations towards him, together with that he had made threats towards the celebration chair, Zia Yusuf.
Lowe strongly denied the allegations and stated it was “totally unfaithful” that he had made threats towards Yusuf.
Eleni Courea, a political correspondent for the Guardian, tells Lucy Hough that she believes this feud dates again to final 12 months, when Elon Musk confirmed a particular curiosity in Reform UK.
“Musk has not been shy about interfering and endorsing political events within the UK and elsewhere in Europe,” she says.
“There have been experiences within the late autumn that he was even countenancing giving a $100m donation to Reform UK to assist propel them into authorities.
