What happened to lighter plugs in cars.
I needed to add an LED light bar to a truck we are using on a job site. I found a great light bar that would easily plug into a cigarette lighter plug in the truck.WTF? New trucks have tons of USB ports, even an AC receptacle, but NO lighter plug.I did quite a bit of research and found this AC adapter that could be powered by the truck’s inverter and provide enough wattage to power the light.But what really sold me was the “pig tail” plug. This allowed me to simply remove the cig plug from the light bar and connect the leads to the pig tail plug. Easy peasy.

Good quality and meets its spec of 4A
This Power Supply meets its spec of 4A.I tried a few no-name Supplies from eBay, claiming to be 3A or 5A and they just died under 3A load in 30 minutes.This Supply was only a bit warm after 1 hour at 3A load.It’s currently in constant use with 3A load for about 3 weeks and performs fine.

I ordered this for a fiber optic tree (12v 4a). When I received the power supply, I tried it and found the tree lit but did not turn. In my experience, all power supplies have been AC to DC. After re-examining the old power supply, I found it to be AC to AC. I contacted COOLM to see if they had the correct power supply. They said they didn’t have one, but had actually searched to find one for me. When they could not locate one, they gave me a full refund. COOLM went above and beyond to resolve my problem. Thanks COOLM.
