Super bright, thin and light, all around amazing display!
I bought this display primarily to use with my DJI Air 3 Drone and for that it does a spectacular job. I also use it as an extra monitor for my laptop.First off, the packaging was top notch, it felt like I was unboxing an Apple product.The display itself is thin, light, and easy to pack around. The magnetic cover makes an excellent stand that I barely have to mess with to get right where I want it.For connectivity, it has two USB C ports and a micro HDMI port, as well as a mini usb (i think, not sure what this is for). So plenty of options to get you going, not to mention it comes with pretty much every cable you’ll need, which is rare these days but very much appreciated.The display itself looks fantastic. Some might want more than 1080p but it’s more than enough for me, and the fact that it’s 165hz is a great bonus, I love how smooth everything feels when I’m using it. I don’t see any screen bleeding and the brightness on this display is fantastic. The brightness was one of the main selling points for me because I need to use this monitor outside sometimes. I researched portable monitors for a while but most don’t even come close to this brightness level, so I’m glad I found and went with this one.Finally, I didn’t even realize this came with speakers but it does, and they work fine. Certainly nothing amazing and doesn’t even begin to compare with my laptop, but they’ll do in a pinch and I’m glad to have them.I was hesitant about purchasing this display because I’ve never heard of the brand name, but it more than delivered and I would highly recommend it. I would certainly purchase from this company again if I’m ever in the market for another display.

Cons:The menu button is oddly slim and sharp, so pressing down to adjust settings is uncomfortable.Doesn’t communicate with your computer / laptop, so there’s no use of apps to adjust brightness or color that I could find.60hz is low for something I might game on, but as a portal able 4k screen it’s fine, no portalable game will be noticeable.I prefer oled over matte screens, but the brightness makes up for it.All of this is basically a half star off, small things that are a luxury to have, but for this price point are more than good enough to not notice or care.Personal con, I wish the hdmi port were on the bottom or top… the long sides of the screen, so it would sit more flush with my own personal set up, but it isn’t something I’d take points away for.Pros.Everything else.Lightweight, 4k, 400 nits, the screen ratio is nice, it’s bright, vibrant, and It doesn’t feel like it will break if I drop it, and it’s at a great price point, bought a stand to go with it, all under $200. 5/5 honestly, time will tell.

Good Portable 165hz Monitor!
I needed a monitor that was easy to carry for constant movement and travel. Previously, I was eyeing other monitors but many was either more expensive or 60hz only.This monitor was on sale and decided to give it a buy. I am really pleased with how light the screen is and how thin it is. Also the HDR really helps make the image more vibrant! Previously I was daily driving an MSI 165 hz monitor with no HDR, and the colors pop way more with this display. 16:10 and thin bezels gives it a clean look!The brightness is pretty good, if you enable hdr however, I recommend you changing the default contrast settings as the screen becomes more dimmer. It gets plenty bright for my use case around the house though. When outside, it still works well enough.The speakers are alright. It’s a nice addition to have as some monitors I have owned did not have any speakers at all. It gets the job done but it’s better to use headphones or use the aux outlet to plug audio devices in.The monitor itself comes with a few things, listed here:-Microfiber Cloth-USB A to USB C cable with 15W charger-HDMI to Mini HDMI cable-USB C to USB CMy personal settings are:-Brightness 10- HDR Auto- Contrast 6- Sharpness 3- Freesync enabledThe monitor, as seen in the photo, mostly came in a generic box with no “Magicraven” logos anywhere, but nice as it keeps the monitor looking clean. My only gripe is that there does not seem to be any holes for mounting the monitor, despite some reviews saying so. Albeit it might be a difference between the 60hz and 165hz models. So if you’re looking for mounting it you have to find alternative mounting methods.The monitor, to access settings, was set of multiple buttons rather than a physical wheel.So far I’ve connected it via the gpu hdmi port on my gaming PC, with one of the USB C ports connected to the USB 3.2 port on the pc. I tried other devices, such as seeing if the USB C port on my Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 could work, but it only seems to work when it’s plugged in with the 15w charger (some phones only support 5w power draw monitors). I was able to plug in my Steam Deck, PS5, and Switch which worked well too!There is a micro USB port, which is not really promoted as much though I haven’t used it. I would say it’s useful for plugging in devices such as keyboards or mice.Overall, this was a really good monitor, the high refresh rate and HDR is a nice addition as well. The screen looks ve Along with the portability with its magnetic case. It’s nice to use when watching movies or videos with the built in speakers. It’s pretty good for playing games on console or your PC as well. If you need a portable monitor for traveling or just as a secondary, this is really good to have!
