Awesome refurbished MacBook Pro – Enjoying it by now.
Despite I was hesitant to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro, adding that some buyers had a non favorable at all reviews when I was thinking to buy, I decided to try with this vendor Kanga and if any issue happens, to return it before the 90 days period.
By now being the third day after “unboxing”, the experience has been so pleasant, with the following highlights:
1.- Speakers performs like sound bar systems, even better that some bars for TVs. I’ve been listening this morning a Pink Floyd concert in YouTube and i’ve found its flawless sound is amazing, much better than my 50 inches Smart TV.
2.- It had MacOS Monterey preinstalled, and after a not so long update, I had the latest version 12.4, with all current patches.
3.- It has a minor scratch on the back of the screen, and I won’t see it when I put the case on the MacBook Pro, so I don’t care too much of this. It looks and behave like new MacBook Pro, in a mint condition, despite it is at least 5 years old.
4.- Coming from a MacBook Pro 2015, I’m getting used to the touch bar, however the learning curve has been no significant and I’m learning quickly its features. Touch Bar working fine at the moment.
5.- Touch ID did follow its procedure to acquire my finger marks, so now its working fine too.
6.- I believe those who mentioned bad experiences with their buys, however that is not my case until now.
7.- I may think by a moment that I’m using a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, without paying that hefty price. However when looking that the Apple support status it is out of warranty, so I’m coming back to the reality.
8.- I found it required additional hardware to connect with my HDs with Thunderbolt for USB C, so having converters I did the first Time Machine backup with no issues.
9.- Battery is above 90% capacity, with no cycles of use, so I understand the degradation may come because of the time and not by a previous use.
I’m trying to use adding heavy workloads to the MacBook Pro in order to find any possible issue (like graphic card bugs), however at this moment the behavior is very good as expected.
So I congratule Kanga to deliver this excellent device that I’m enjoying by now. However if something changes, I will update this review in the coming days, or to return it at the first failure.

Horrible laptop.
I love this computer so far, first MacBook that Iâve owned. Minimal scratches on outside of laptop. Canât talk about battery life because Iâve been in the house so far with it on the charger. But when I take it off the charger it seems just fine. Only minor issue is laptop overheating from time to time. ALSO IF YOU DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT MACBOOKS MAKE SURE YOU BUY A TYPE C ADAPTER FOR MACBOOKS WITH DIFFERENT OUTPUTS.
UPDATE: Iâve had this laptop for a couple of weeks now and the battery is horrible. Itâs been on the charger for days and it wonât go past 1%. It keeps saying not charging even though the charger is plugged in and the laptops battery health is normal.
I honestly would recommend everyone to sacrifice and save more money and buy the laptop brand new.
EDIT 2: THIS MACBOOK BATTERY KEPT EXPANDING AND THE LAPTOP WAS OVERHEATING LIKE CRAZY. ACCORDING TO GEEK SQUAD THE BATTERY IS BAD AND HAZARDOUS AND COULD HAVE EXPLODED. SO I WILL BE RETURNING.

Good Laptop
I bought this MacBook for simple everyday use and for work but no longer work for the place I needed it for so I use it just for my daily use. This laptop is surprisingly great with small games, I wanted to start playing games to pass the time and it runs the games as it should, maybe a little loud with the fan and battery may not last but I normally use it in clamshell mode anyway so the battery isnât a horrible issue. I would say for around $450 it is great, I at first had a bit of issues with the space bar but after about an hour of typing and breaking it in it seems to have fixed the issue. When I first got it the battery was completely dead as expected but took around an hour to charge to a state of being able to use, the screen had no problems, it is amazing value, setting up the OS is simple and quick, the screen had no cracks, scratches, or anything wrong with it, and the laptop itself had a great overall appearance with no buffs or scratches to be seen. If I had to recommend a laptop that is affordable, works well, for school or work, or even just daily use I would recommend this one. Great job with the refurbishment!

I purchased a brand new MacBook Pro 2017 15â in 2018 for a little over $2k. It was smashed and I needed a new laptop. I canât afford the $2k at the moment so I decided to purchase renewed MacBook Pro 2017 15â 1tb memory from double dex refurbished. Let me tell you! Whoever is in charge of repairing the MacBook pros is doing a fantastic job. I had ordered the same MacBook Pro with less memory from Buspry and received a dented up aluminum case MacBook with a screen replacement job that was so botched. The M key didnât work. I returned the unit and reordered. The laptop came in two days. Almost mint condition. The tiniest scratch. Everything else was immaculate. The screen perfect. No scratches. Keys work perfect. The laptop is clean. No dents. It looks almost brand new. Itâs been operating fine. I would recommend double dex refurbished again and again. Im you guys keep doing what youâre doing. Youâve earned a customer for life!

Incredible machine
This is by far the best laptop/computer I ever had as a matter of fact about this one for my son, but I have an identical one that I bought five years ago. I thought about giving my son mine buy me a new one, but this is actually a powerhouse, and I love it .

Las especificaciones anunciadas son las mismas que el producto recibido. La computadora no tiene ningún daño fÃsico o rayón en carcasa ni daños en display. Tiempo de carga y de uso de baterÃa satisfactorios. TenÃa mis reservas por comprar reacondicionado, pero al tenerla en mi poder veo que vale la pena la compra. Excelente relación valor-precio.

La laptop funciona bien en general, aunque tremenda decepción se lleva uno al recibirla y que no funcione una parte del TouchBar y además otra parte parpadea.
No me gustarÃa devolverla pues la necesito para mis labores. La compré por la TouchBar y no funciona bien. Me gustarÃa que Amazon me la cambiara por una que si funcione bien, en lugar de solo darme la opción de que me devuelvan mi dinero en casi 3o 4 meses.

Purchased a laptop to use for working from home. The computer broke down in under a year. The logic board needed replacing and is cheaper to buy an entire new computer than replacing this one. The parts replaced in this âAPPLE MACâ are not from apple, the power cord that came with the laptop is known to explode and catch fire.
