Not impressed with the Renewal Process
The battery died (and expanded) after only 5 months of use. Lid will not close, trackpad is now higher than it should. With the unexpected repair fee, it would have been cheaper to purchase a new macbook.I could take it to an Apple store, and since it is not covered under any type of warranty, pay a few hundred dollars for them to replace the battery. I ended up buying a new battery pack myself doing the repair myself: that was $130 in parts.Update 17 Nov 2023. This is a ZERO STAR PRODUCT.STAY WELL AWAY FROM THESE MACBOOKS! These were previously owned by NetFlix, and now our macbook is an expensive brick. Because the macbook has not been removed from their Apple Business Manager account, it considers this macbook as being STOLEN and is forcing us to enroll the macbook with NetFlix so they can manage it remotely. Since we don’t have their userid and password we can do that.
