A solid tablet for the price
The Z138 tablet from ZIOVO is aimed at kids but works just fine for adults too.The tablet comes pre packaged in the case color of your choice. The case the tablet comes in is sturdy and someone would likely have to be either very reckless or deliberately trying to break the tablet in order to do so. You can tell the case was designed with this tablet in mind. It has holes in it for the camera and speakers. There is a built in handle that lets you easily carry it around. The handle converts to a stand that lets you set the tablet up for easy viewing. A screen protector is applied to it already as well, meaning there are less steps you have to worry about when setting it up.Within the box the tablet came in, you’ll find a USB/Wall charger, extra screen protectors as well as some cute animal cards for the kids. When first setting up the tablet, you have the option of setting up parental controls. I noticed there were some pre installed apps for kids as well.I decided to test this tablet for my own use and found that it’s great for general use. It comes with a generous amount of storage but much of it is taken up by the operating system itself. While I don’t think kids would likely use up the built in memory, I’d recommend adults that intend to save lots of photos or videos buy an SD card to expand its memory.Performance wise, I tried the tablet with several different mobile games. Most games run smoothly, with no issues. Some of the more intense mobile games had the occasional slow down but still ran fine. I kept an eye on the battery life during these sessions and it looked like 4 – 6% battery life was used every 10 minutes under heavy load. The was also noticeably warm when under heavy load. The speaker quality/volume is respectable. The tablet also has a 3.5 mm jack on it, so you can use wired earbuds. I especially liked this because the last tablet I had required me to use bluetooth or have USB C earbuds.The bottom line is that this tablet is great for its price. If you’re using it for general browsing, watching videos and playing the occasional game, this tablet is a solid purchase. If you’re purchasing this tablet for a child, it should be more than enough for them. It could make a great gift for a kid.

Santa brought us garbage.
Santa brought 6 tablets for my two kids and my four nephews. It’s the first day—less than 12 hours—and we already have one tablet with a completely unusable screen, another with a cracked screen, and all 6 are covered in scratches after just one day of use. I feel frustrated and robbed.This tablet does not have the necessary hardware for children. The case doesn’t protect the device, the tablets bend easily—even while trying to remove them from the case to apply the “screen protector,” which is useless. The protector is just a piece of plastic that fills with bubbles when applied.Sadly, we’ll have to return all 6 tablets and shatter the excitement of 6 children.

Affordable, quality children’s tablet
Great tablet for kids. It’s not only affordable but made to last. The case and handle/stand are sturdy – handle easy to grip for small hands and the stand great for hands free use. I am not that tech savy so I appreciate the easy step by step setup instructions. The parental controls can be set for whatever you want. It even comes with some preloaded kids apps and the picture quality is great. As I already have a tablet from this company, I knew firsthand that the customer service would be there if needed. When I had a question for the company, they were extremely quick to respond and help. Therefore, I knew it would be a great choice for my grandson. I would highly recommend it.

During the week my nephews and I spent with this tablet, I found it absolutely wonderful to play games, browse, shoot pictures, type and watch YouTube HD videos on this ZIOVO tablet.My in-depth review:Box and packaging are sturdy with minimalistic graphics around the box. The protective case with handle supplied feels functional, durable & ergonomic.Accessories are aplenty, the addition of game cards to be used in conjunction with the AR game apps is pretty lit. REALLY APPRECIATE THE THOUGHT.Setting up: easy, quick & no unnecessary bloatware to bootOS & skin: Close to stock Android with minimal extraneous apps, that too, only for AR-related activities and drawing. Customizing with granularity is a cinch: Display parameters, timed auto-on/off, kids-mode / parental control toggle etc. Navigating from home screen to various apps is not exceptionally smooth, though the 6GB RAM comes in handy with multi-tasking efficiently, with little to none reloading during heavy multi-tasking. Skin is barely noticeable, so no impact on performance.Display: 1280×800 screen is decent for casual use cases, but perhaps a downside for pixel-peepers. It gets plenty bright for indoor use, though not for outdoor. Colors are bluish out of the box, but a little tweaking of the color temp settings brings it back within the parameters of 6500K. Touch sensitivity is clearly affected because of the pre-installed screen protector, but I would rather have the peace of mind that my tablet screen is safe and protected than hypersensitivity.Camera: Front & rear seem okay-ish for casual snaps & clips, but feel very restrictive in terms of customizaton. Though the “smile to snap” mode is pretty dope. Low light video is quite grainy though, but more than passable for a kids tablet.Speakers: Lacklustre in terms of volume and sonic balance, but again it’s a kids tablet, so forgiven.Case/Stand: Very utilitarian and moderately sturdy. The integrated handle is absoutely so dope, it’s AWESOME!!Performance: Email, general web browsing, youtube & document typing are smooth, however anything more intensive like photo editing, FHD video playback offline/online & scrolling through heavily ornated social media feeds feel jittery and frankly shows the limitations of its underpowered CPU/GPU, a jarring disconnect from the 6GB of physical & 14GB of virtual RAM touted.Bloatware: Nothing extraneous. Just 2 AR apps and a drawing app, and they’re downright fantastic. Kids will LOVE it!Battery: During equal mixed use case @ 40% brightness (wifi browsing, youtube, AR gaming, fooling around with the settings, creating spreadsheets), battery drain around 15% per hour. Idling drains battery very slowly when all radios are turned off.OVERALL, I LIKE THIS TABLET, A WORTHY INVESTMENT IMO. 👌👍

We were going on a roadtrip with our two children and felt that it was finally time to get them a tablet to help pass the time during those long hours driving. After a lot of research, we landed with Ziovo and haven’t looked back. My kids love the educational games that came pre-loaded, the case that came with it is easy for them to handle and props up easily for ideal viewing. This has been a great value purchase!We did run into a dm-verity corruption issue on the tablet some months later, but we contacted customer support and they promptly sent us a replacement tablet. I can’t say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fastest kids tablet for this price range that I could find on Amazon and has all the options I needed:Pros: screen protector included, headphone jack, Bluetooth, fast processing, preloaded for kids setup, and there’s no monthly subscription like with Amazon kids. 2 year warranty direct through seller.Cons: case is only landscape orientation, not portrait. Unsure at this point if the battery is going to hold up long-term.It does take about 30 to 40 seconds to start up, and that’s after you spent about 40 minutes setting it up after turning it on the first time (very easy setup and fun for the kids at the end!) I highly recommend rebooting it after you’ve done the initial setup. And I also recommend changing parental controls from your phone or desktop and not directly on the tablet or you might experience save issues.The tablet comes fully charged and the setup is easy except that if you restrict the apps, be prepared to have to go back in and fiddle with the restrictions so you can download Netflix and Disney.The battery doesn’t seem to last very long. I’d say about 3 hours. If they’re watching movies and playing games the whole time on a road trip. You might want to keep it plugged in or have a battery backup. We can be in the car 6 hours sometimes.The case seems rugged enough, but it doesn’t allow for the kid to hold the tablet in a portrait orientation, only landscape. I love that it comes with Bluetooth and a headphone jack too. These features are hard to find on other tablets.My 5-year-old has an Amazon kids tablet and I am upgrading her to this one for Christmas. There’s also no monthly subscription fee like there is with Amazon.Also found customer service to be good so far after reaching out to ask a couple questions about the warranty. Very happy and would highly recommend as an option for a kids tablet or even for an adult tablet, because it is quick once it starts up.
