Just like OEM
Installed in my 2020 RAM Classic. Watch some videos first, but this item installs just like the OEM, much-more-expensive model. Works great. For my year model I had to get a security bypass along with an odb connector and software to enable and program it. You could also go to a dealer, but whereâs the fun in that?

Great value
Very easy to install but, impossible to get all 3 screw in. The wiring harness can not be moved. Good news is that 2 screws is enough. It must be flashed by the dealer to show up in the dash menu. Haven’t tried it yet but, gain seems to work.

Good but might require additional cost to activate software
I like that its OEM and that it fits in the open slots on the console. My particular unit did not come with the bolts or threaded tabs, so installing the controller was not fun. Had to compromise drilling holes and using hardware I had laying around. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will need to activate the trailer brake by either the dealer or third party so you will spend alittle extra. I am still waiting on the bypass harness so cant speak to functionallity yet.

If youâre looking for a brake controller thatâs way below dealer cost this is the way to go. It works perfectly but if you will need to have it programmed either by the dealer or alfaobd.

The product is good, but no way to install the box with the screws properly. This product needs a new designing for installing. I had to use a bolt to tighten one hole. The other one I had to use a steel wire to tighten it down. The third hole, I had no way to tighten down at all. No space at all to use the screws provided.

Bought and installed this Trailer brake controller with module for my 20 Ram1500 installation was easy as this is was supposed to be plug and go. Once install was complete I had to take my truck to the dealership to have them flash the system and add the ITBM so the computer would recognize it. When I hooked up my trailer for camping the module worked for about 3 hours getting to the campsite. When I hooked up to go home. The brakes on the trailer would disconnect then reconnect every 5-10 minutes and never continuously stay connected causing me to drive home through mountain passes with no brakes on the trailer at times! Connected to multiple other trailers all saying the same thing. Had my truck back into dodge and was told there is a code in the ITBM and that it is a faulty module! Wiring is all fine.Super NOT impressed.
