Great Chromebook
First off I just want to say that for the people that want this and still want to be able to use word, you can. Go to the google play store and get the app. Works just like word on your regular PC. This is a great machine and I am more than happy that I decided to get a Chromebook instead of a regular laptop. The no touchscreen is not a problem for me because I hate touchscreen computers. Also this is not a Chromebook that flips and works like a tablet and that is not a big deal to me either because I have a tablet. This is great for school and for when I need it to do zoom. The touch pad mouse takes a little getting used to but it is adjustable in settings. Overall, this is a great value for the $$ and I would purchase another Chromebook without hesitation in the future.

Good value for Internet-dependent laptop
Good functional laptop, best for online use and internet-based projects only. Using it to teach online ESL classes via an existing online provider and it works well. Googleâs Octopus OS is pretty intuitive, but it might take a little patience and research to become really proficient with it.Screen seems a bit hard to see unless itâs aimed directly at you but the keyboard feels comfortable when typing and the touchpad works great too.All in all, a great value for the money.

Excellent purchase
Being a Mac user for years I was wary about buying this but since I had to move and needed a laptop, thought I would give this a go. I bought the larger 15 inch as the small laptops are hard on my old eyes. I traveled 3000 miles to my new home and this laptop has saved my home office business. Easy to use and so far no issues connecting with wifi or other devices. It fit in my suitcase going thru security at the airport. Much less expensive than a new Mac. I may keep using this even when I get my Mac set up and running.Update February 2024- I am still using this computer and it has been trouble free for 3.5 years!!!

Quick quick quick
Fast, lightweight, works great. Unbelievably quick. Easy to set up. Just used Google account to set up. Also was able to transfer files via Google from old laptop. Would recommend. The sleeve is also very nice, high quality.

Incorrect description – no touchscreen
I really like this chromebook. It seems well made, has a good looking screen (for the price point) and works perfectly for the type of work Iâm doing (Iâm a fourth grade teacher. My only complaint is that the description is incorrect. Itâs advertised as having a touch screen, but it doesnât. I was a little upset when I found out after I first started using it. I would have sent it back, but chromebooks have become so difficult to get at a decent price point, I just decided to keep it.In short, I like everything about this, except the misleading and incorrect description that this chromebook has a Touchscreen. If it had been as described, I would have given 5 stars.

Great fast laptop for the money
Honestly this is a steal, the processor is fast for web browsing and doing online hw, holds up well on Hulu/Netflix also YouTube , and long battery life, the resolution is fair but you get what you pay for, itâs a gray laptop for a college student or high school. I love the huge screen and how thin it is.

Did not opererate correctly upon unboxing
I opened/unboxed computer and turned it on. It went crazy. It was.brand new and did not work properly. Like it was possessed by the dark side. Not even sure how it made it to retail or past quality control. Anyway sent it back the same day.I went with HP chromebook. I realize that things happen, but what was upsetting it the computer made it past quality control. It it had a broken or.damaged screen from shipping that would be another issue. But.the thing had a mind of it’s own and went crazy. So.to me that is a quality control issue. Not a damaged in shipping.I may be willing to try again in about 5 years. The life span of a cheap chromebook.

Great for school work, this is our second one and purchased in 2021. Still runs like new, no issues. First one got damaged as my son spilled drink on keyboard and we had to get a new one.Great price and easy to use.

I have a full-featured desktop, and I needed a laptop to watch movies, participate in Zoom meetings, check my e-mails, etc. when I’m not in my office. This is ideal. Easy to set up and use. My only reservation is that the quality of the video on the webcam is mediocre.

I bought 3 Acer Chromebooks, just over 3 months ago 1×17″ and two of these 15″ and I just got off the phone with ACER after submitting my proof of purchase. The 17″ would not charge on the right port, so I looked it up and it’s a systemic problem with these ACER Chromebookss (you can look that up online). I returned that one back to Amazon. One of the 15″ Chromebooks came with a faulty charger, which I just noticed because I just started using this one. When I called ACER, I was denied warranty, even though I uploaded and they confirmed receipt of my Amazon proof of purchase on APRIL 17th 2023, I was denied warranty today, AUG 7 2023. In fact, I was told ACER does not warranty these laptops. Consider this before purchasing. On another note, I use these laptops as backup. My Linux laptop keyboard finally gave out, so I started using these Chromebooks. I almost immediately noticed that Google is taking full advantage of controlling the user’s experience when trying to use competing apps and services such as Brave browser or search using Yandex (non-censored search engine). Sites get blocked, competing apps get closed or freeze up. So this is way beyond Google’s intense censorship with online searches. It’s most certainly looking at everything I do because now all the ads on my phone to this laptop are deadly targeted to my life (they never were). Amazon will notice that I bought a Dell 5500 last night to get back to Linux Mint and get these Chromebooks and Google out of my world again. As for ACER, they have no integrity. They are the lowest rated laptops for quality and customer service, according to the review I read online. Do you research and do yourself a favor and look at a 2 or 3 year old business-quality Dell or Thinkpad that is far better quality, and put Linux on it because it’s a much better experience. ACER – NEVER AGAIN. Why I even considered this brand again is puzzling – it was cheap obviously – until it breaks. No more!
