Nice chrome book, As Advertised!
Probably the best laptop I’ve ever purchased. The fact that it’s touchscreen makes it even better, and it’s lightweight so I don’t feel like I’m carrying a desktop computer in my bag. Battery life is also amazing, and holds a decent amount of storage., itâs fast- I mean fast and the priceâ¦.WHEW!!!! If you are in the market for a new laptop for yourself, your spouse, or your kid, definitely consider giving this amazing laptop a try. You will not regret it!!!

Awesome Chromebook Plus, blow my expections!
Found I got a very capable laptop that also runs Linux By turning on Chromebook developer mode which automatically installs debian linux to do some basic pushes to git. the ssd is 512GB and is plenty fast enough to install VScode Without any waiting. Thickness is comparable to 2008 Macbook Pro and screen is a matte display, which makes it comfortable to do git terminal tasks at a bash prompt. the CPU is Core i3-N305 which outperforms i5-6300U by a shopping 210% based on benchmark results.after-hours use it as a chromebook for youtube and google work office tasks.

Near Macbook Pro Quality For A Chromebook
Still pleasantly shocked by the real value and great quality of this excellent Acer Chromebook. The build – including the beautiful, bright HD screen – gets so close to Macbook Pro feel, it must be experienced to be appreciated. The keyboard provides good performance with springy, solid keys and the touchpad excels as a solid performer. The speakers pump out loud, crisp audio and the Quad Core CPU with 4 GB’s of Ram will breeze through most any demanding work day. Acer even throws in a wireless mouse and really nice case. Highly recommended.

So far, so good
My last 3 laptops were Lenovos and I have been pleased in general. I picked up another one from Walmart and ended up taking it back. The build quality was shoddy and it just didn’t work for me. This Acer shipped over night and has been a joyous experience. Really good quality & smooth performance so far’ I have zero complaints and highly recommend. After one week, I have one issue… It seems to lose the WIFI connection often. This is a minor thing, possibly related to all of the new security features.

Add an keyboard!! (USB plugin) to any Chromebook for other functions
I did a lot of research before I had decided to get this Acer Chromebook 14. Although there were two others which I had wanted with 1/2 the price but were renewed, the downside was not being able to have an extra 100gb storage to backup (so I wouldn’t need to use my USB memory sticks) and the other two didn’t provide the 2-day shipping. The downside to this Chromebook is it provides eMMC versus an SDD like the other two Chromebooks I like, but at least it runs on a quad-core processor like the other two Chromebooks. With that said, the price and the power of this Chromebook is perfect for my use. I’m only using this Chromebook for videos/screen recordings/editing and PowerPoint presentations (with the Screencastify and other video recorder/editors for Chromebook versus the labtop). I bought this because my two other labtops have such a hissing, rattling, and a scratchy noise within the hard drive (motherboard) that I can’t record anything for school or business. Whatever I record transfers over and its picked up to the microphone, whether I have a webcam plugged in or not. Overall, an external SSD wouldn’t solve the problem because the noise is coming directly from the base — I know, so I’m not wasting my time to try and fix this. Better worth using this Chromebook as I’m hooked on it now versus an expensive labtop. Of course, the other work I do my labtops provide, enough that once they do crash (one being Dell 20+ years, and a plastic cheap Lenovo of 5+ years), I’ll get those Chromebook’s I like BUT twice the power.I am definitely hooked on Chromebooks for life! — There is a solution for every problem, literally. For example, I read the negative reviews which described about there there’s no Caps Lock, Delete key, etc. for this Chromebook BUT if a person really wanted to fix that, as I’ve discovered just playing around, plugin your USB external keyboard. Just remember to take off the Caps Lock on any of the keys which provide it (i.e. Caps Lock for F1 keys) before you unplug that external keyboard, or else you’ll be stuck with that function when you do decide to leave the house with your Chromebook. You’ll be surprised with the extra functionality you can do with that external keyboard, even if the F1 keys provide different functions (cause again, you’re using a Chromebook versus a labtop), but once you get used to it you’ll realize it’s worth it if you want to expand.

It doesn’t have a touch screen
My son shattered my other Chrome book from Acer that had a touch screen and I didn’t realize how much I loved that feature. This book is amazing and perfect for Distance Learning now that COVID-19 has shut down school for the rest of the year. The delivery was fast, the packaging was perfect and he was up and running within minutes. The only thing I would advise, is that the material of this unit does tend to show finger prints. That is minor and has nothing to due with the system itself, but for someone who is easily distracted by such things, that is something to consider.

Replacement
I have an older version of acer laptop and have been happy with the product, and based on age, time to replace. When I saw this product for the price, it was a no brainer for me to purchase. I was amazed I did not have to download any backup from the old laptop to this new one. It was so simply to use, after coming out of the packaging, for someone like me who is technologically illeterate. I was so happy I did not have to ask anyone how to get it set up and just continued as if I had this computer forever. The extra value came with its own mouse, and carrying pouch along with usual cord. Value and pricing were to my satisifaction

Affordable and Very Efficient
Very first chromebook I’ve owned and for the price, and quality you really cant beat it comes with a very well made case zipper seems sturdy and NOT cheap! Its padded and protects the laptop very well if your on the Go … Just wish there was instructions on how to connect the wireless mouse took me a while but I figured it out the top comes off and theres a mini USB inside, you plug it in the chromebook turn the mouse on from the bottom, and just like that it works ! 1
