Go on, disrupt the status quo.
I cherish the look and feel, of high end electronices… and also this. The minimal tolerances of its crafted stainless steel shell departs a feel of quality and substance The smoothness in articulating the HD display from screen,180°, to tablet mode is smooth like butter. Even down to the backlit keyboard, the pressure and depth needed until activation is rewarding. Overall the outward appearance, keyboard, and satisfaction Ive found via user interface, makes this the best feeling and looking sub $1000 laptop I’ve worked with!Sorry to say, the power button brings the cops to the kegger. Having finite resources, it’s evident where the money went, thus leaving it’s performance swimming mid pack in a pool of 3,296 laptops, vying for shares of the sub $500 market. Nothing too exciting, you can see the numbers. Competent enough to tackle most computing tasks, having no problem running multiple windows, sliding back and forth with ease, etc. However, with google’s recent announcement of extending critical updates, this laptop will be performaning years after planned obsolescence leaves Macbook or Window laptops, of any price,.in oveburdoned landfills. With so many positives right of the bell curve, I am left with the understanding, this is far and away the best buy in this segment.

Good Product
I like this versatile Chromebook (even though I’m an Apple gal). I can tent it to sit on the counter while I follow a recipe, or back to a traditional position to surf while I’m watching TV. The backlit keyboard was a must for me. This is strictly a play toy, not my work laptop, so I don’t need it to do much more. I like that it runs on Chrome, the feel of the keypad, the clarity of the screen, the overall size and weight, and the ability to bend it into different positions. I think the price was reasonable. My only issue might be the scrolling isn’t fantastically smooth when using the touchscreen or touchpad. Happy with my purchase. (No opinion on battery life yet.)

UPDATED
Keyboard is flimsy and falling apart already. SLOW after required updates. Backlight on keyboard and speakers no longer work unless plugged in. USB port just died. Barely had 4 months and ready to scrap. Save yourself the trouble, there’s a reason it’s the cheapest in the category….Pros: responsive touch screen, backlit keyboard, lightweight, portable, excellent battery life, inexpensive.Cons: not as quick as it could be (but for the price plenty fast), screen glare in light, top shell is aluminum but bottom shell is plastic. The model is from 2021, the one I got was manufactured May 2021.I primarily use this for travel and laying in bed, for those purposes it works great. Don’t expect this to hold up to a more powerful laptop, but for browsing or for things like Netflix and YouTube, it’s great.

Honest Review
I think this is the first review I have ever done lol So I bought this laptop after my Levono Yoga C90 finally went out. Going from a state of the art Laptop at the time (2018) and with an overall price tag of $1400.00, I could not see myself going back to anything else. (It had a dolby atmos soundbar built in lol) It had everything and more than I needed. And when I decided to buy something I could take on the go and do my day to day. I came about this laptop on Amazon. I needed something that would able to do what I mostly do on my laptop. Word processing and watching YouTube and the other streaming services I cant live without lol and check into other social media if I felt like it. I spent two days doing research, and looking at YouTube videos and reviews of this laptop. When I finally got it home, I was surprised how thin and light it was. I am a musician and I was surprised how clear and how loud the sound would get. Screen was very clear and bright. The one thing I had to get used to, is the operating system. I have used Windows for 30 plus years. I was surprised how easy it was to learn Chrome OS. There are MANY features I miss from Windows. But for what I need it to do its holding up . Overall for this price I am happy. NOTE: I have seen some reviewers say there is not a back lit keyboard. THERE IS ONE. I would NOT of bought this laptop if there was not one. Thats the first thing I look for. This laptop is like an electric hybrid, light simple to use and will get the job done. IF you are looking for a juiced up race car with all the bells and whistles, then this is not the right laptop for you. But if you wannt something affordable and does all the above, then this might be for you

Almost perfect Chromebook
If you’ve seen one ChromeOS you’ve seen them all, but there are a few ways that the hardware setup on this Chromebook is inferior to the much older Asus Chromebook that I’m replacing, which I loved for years and considered to be a perfect machine.- There is no SD card reader. Though it does have USB-A so you could use even an old SD adapter.- The maximum volume is not particularly loud. If you want to listen to this while doing an activity that’s at all noisy (cooking, car repair) you may find yourself needing bluetooth headphones.- The speakers are on the bottom, which means if you set it on a muffling surface (your lap, a bed) it’ll make the above problem even worse.- The screen dimness cannot be reduced very far. When used at night in the dark, the dimmest setting is still pretty bright (Night Light is little help, as it changes color temperature, not dimness).Without these minor disappointments it would be a slam dunk of a computer.
