The Acer Chromebook 311 is an excellent computer for high school or elementary students. It has a toughened glass screen, is spill proof (I haven’t tested that ) and is built to take bumps and knocks. The biggest drawback is the skimpy 32gb of storage – it ought to be at least 64gb. Also the picture quality is more fair than good. However, it handles most routine jobs quickly and efficiently, including video playback and the battery is excellent, lasting for 10-12 hours for us. All in all it is excellent value at a reasonable price

I am so impressed by this little machine. It looks not so nice in the stock pictures but is a sturdy machine, and rubber edges add nice solid touch, and it seems to handle a lot. I checked the screen quality in movies and writing emails, and it is perfect (for this price: 113 CAD + taxes). The speakers are ok, the microphone works nicely, and the front camera is also ok. I got this for my father-in-law as a Christmas gift. He has a 20-year-old laptop to browse the web, so this little fellow should become his new best friend.

If all you need to do is access the internet than this is great! Extremely cheap but it is also very limited. If you need to add pictures and apps than buy something else. This is great for my needs. The picture quality is very good also.
